I have good news to report: Baby Jackson came home from the hospital today!!! He will go see his Pediatrician on Wed. and his Pediatric heart DR (in Birmingham) on Thursday. Thank you so much for your prayers. They were definitely answered. I found out from a coworker today that he was in Congestive Heart Failure on Thursday when they admitted him to the hospital. They didn't tell the family then, so as to not alarm them.

I'm so relieved that he is doing better.

LilG: Sorry about your vacation drama. It's a shame that people are that way.

Ok, my rant for the day. Some girl from one of the other locations came into DS' restaurant today, and completely changed all the schedules. She scheduled DS for the days he had asked OFF, due to church. Well, she let him have Wed. off AND he doesn't work tomorrow, AND she has him working until 8:00 on Sat. UHHHH, he's 15, and labor laws say he has to be off by 7:00. I know she is just doing her job, but she seemed to create total chaos today. DS told me not to worry about it 'cause she was overwhelmed. He didn't want to cause any waves. The protective MOM in me, wants to go give her a piece of my mind. Although, I will be good, and just rant here. Thanks, I feel better now.

DH just got home, so I asked him if he had any idea where my passport might be. So he said, yes, DS needed them for info for the military, and walked out with all the passports in a minute! An here I have been fretting for hours, and got nothing dne and nothing booked! GRRRRRRRRR

Lynette....I'm frightened by the family with the Tupperware. My mother would be appalled by such tacky behavior. How did they all know to bring Tupperware? Is it a custom in their family?

PJ....Dog flower girl? At least it was well behaved which is more than I can say for most flower girls. RE: power in Loo-uh-vull....We spent Saturday evening with my friends brother and sister who are both Loo-uh-vull refugees. My friend's sister lives two houses off Bardstown Rd. and of course all the businesses on the strip had power (gotta keep the Ryder Cup tourists happy) and still none at her house.

Allie....So glad to hear that Jackson is out of the woods! RE: DS....can he make a stink and get his old schedule back? That girl obviously had no idea about any schedule requests at that store. Where's the regular manager?

Ive been flying solo since I was a teenager....my first solo was when I was 13,,,I flew from Nashville to Velincia Veneseula with changing planes in Tampa and Miami...that was a pain...but a pretty young lady helped me. ..I was meeting friends we met in Baton Rouge...my dad and his dad both were going to LSU...my dad was getting his Doctorite Degree in Chemistry...he is a retried Chemistry Teacher from WKU. and My friend's dad was a Bank Vice President...I got to stay 2 weeks on my Christmas vaction and I came back with a great tan....it was a great visit...we lost track of our friendship over the years.

Yes, I did resist, but I would LOVE to give her the "what for". It would embarrass DS, so I didn't. Plus I could tell he felt bad for her. He said she was completely overwhelmed, and he didn't want to add to her stress. So, I gotta love him for that. I believe he is going to go up there this afternoon, and ask when he should work again. The owner is one of my preschool dads, so I could say something to him, but I want DS to learn to manage his own affairs too. It's hard cutting those strings, isn't it?

Maybe she was the one who was supposed to be scheduling them all along, and the guy the previous day "thought" he was "helping"?

CHOCOLATE??!! Pick me, pick me!! I have a friend who's family is from Germany, and while her dh worked for the airlines, they'd go every year, and bring back a brick of the chocolate, and they have this fantastic contraption that the Swiss Chocolate round went in, and it shaved the chocolate off in a curl, OMG so good!!

Diane Mott Davidson also has a series of mysteries out - one of hers is Death By Chocolate!! (her main character is a caterer, divorced and trying to raise one son - thru the book her character develops a crush and then marries the police chief) Neither of these books has any s.e.x. - - oh Nora Roberts has a few books that are easy reads also...

what about books on tape? (or CD, or download some podcasts into your ipod!! you have to have an ipod!!)

comments about mothers, changing their babies...

...unfor., she & her "supporters"...are "on" one of the ...trip
reports. , "i have to really bite..my tongue...reading..all
their ...bull & made up lies. however, fyi...jus because..,one
lies..& has an army..swearing..to it..cannot/will not~ change
reality. she attacked me..by trying..to push me off....
the lil'deck. it is true , she & her friends were there first. but
there was room for 4 more regular-sized adults. the show was
in "front"..& that why..she didn't "see"..me for the first 5+ minutes.

very much...like the parades...she not only wanted the space she
was sitting in..but all "behind" her. if only..i ask???? this isn't your room!
...& that would meant...interupting her....for something..that was

...thanks..for the compliment...it's true..our unit...is working mental
health....lik no where else..in the world. myself, have spent 17 years
gathering....up, as much as i can. we share..and work...helping
those with life problems..to regained, their coping abilities &
recovery, thru..problem solving & corrective measures. nor is it any
"rocket science"..to learn. in most cases, it is simply reminding
others' to rely & apply the knowledge..they already have. but
with this, let me caution....no person can guide or should decide
your..choices. the best i can do for my pts., is to show them
what is "right"..for me. as for themselves....they must do the
same.

our schools..are in default. how stupid..they can be?....childen...
needs....are well defined..by? growth & developmental stages.
they have been ignoring the "developmental needs" since removing
the "dick & jane" readers. since the 60's, society has been
ignoring.,....the "values toward lving life well"...provided by
the insights from the "extended family". i only "see"..established
program..left..& that is disney....& those trying to keep its
intneded "family support systems"...going.

..then there's one other...resource..that i have found as the most
reliable...and significant "help manual"..anywhere. but it also
been banned ..as for its protection?....however, it is missued by
those with not so honorable intentions. all..i'm saying, if one
removed..all the religion connections, and just read it for
understanding..life & its dynamics..then apply....its lessons..{is for
me} , the easiest/best ways..to find happiness...living life.

faith..is what one truly believes..in one's heart. it's something every
person..needs to recognize & trust...in making one's daily choices.
...these observations..were made..in the early 90's..when i kept
trying..to find.."the level...of where most were having diffculties
with their social skills...nearly @ the first-grade"....respecting the rights
of others..has a cause & effect..on the individual... of course,
those..here...from the begining..have read...my "ramblings".


over & over.."your rights end..when..your words..& actions.."begin"
to hurt another......how do we kno?..{ the #i response..i used
to hear~ }..when the other..person..tells you...then you are
obligated to alter your choices...& that will "impress"..any person
you are trying to influence. & especially..for maintaining life-long
realtionships.

#1..message..we try to pass..onto our children....the most important
discovery..in life..is finding a person to share...life with. share...needs
to be define..to some.

.reality..re-orientation is..my #1 choice..for setting up all my interventions.
....afterall, communication is the name of the game. in reality, there are
only 2 types..of people....male & female...all the rest is "window dressings".
[ and those 2 types..meet the requirments..for a future generation].
..while the 2 systems..are in~deeds..under 2 differnt hormone influences,
..guess what?..the baseline..for all feelings..are exactly the same.
..[cold, warm, anger, happiness,anger, sad, ....] & because that is
rality..then....."we"...can redirect, educate, support ....etc., toward
accomplishing...one's desires. a value system..is mostly based on
2 of these feelings..for all. "the things you like & the things you don't
like."....kno..the differnces..between these 2 things..& your are on
your way! simple.

where people get mix up?....whoever designed the system..also
has an awarness..of the challenges...life wil exposed us to. [ one
of the best..reason ...i believe. everything...is well organized into
suport systems..with only 2 type of choices. those that produce
postive results & those with negative outcomes. positive =
something one gains/or desires..while negative= something you loss
or don;t desire. death is a loss pending the relationship..so if it
was a relationship..of great value.....then....greater the depression.
now this is where its get a lil'tricky...depression under these
circumstances..is expected..& normal. "abnormal..is being happy
if one loss a parent? "we are well designed"..to meet a variety
of life challenges..to resolved..& recovered..our sense of well
being.

in mental health..fyi, the 2 significant..causes..for emotional pain?
..losses..& lonliness? * all of sudden..,recognizing...these "common
senses"...one can see...the insight...how important...it can be..
chosing to benefit others..we want to care for us?

..you can't imagined..seeing..those..that have live..life..taking
advantage..and being cruel..to others....only to realized..they're
now...70 y/o..and no one..even family..cares..a hoot for.

oh?...since...we;re..on the topic...feeling sorry for oneself..is
ineffective coping..because..it blocks....problem solving,
corective measures..& personal growth. [ we see this very
frequent..."poor me"....

..sooo when..i share...my "rewards"..in life....it is amazing..the
best one..came..from taking the time/...just to share a lil'kindness?
.." wanta impress anyone?...an act of kindness..is never forgotten."

..and if all these things..are true , then the best thing anyone can do
..to improve the world..is work @ making themself...a better person,
that is, making choices..for positive outcomes. "practice makes
prefect"....

..i can't help..but...." "..sure we all are given the enpowerment
of making choices..but our options..are limited..to 2. positive
& negative..but we are truly amzed..how many deny, rationizes,
or refuses..to recognize..what could turn their lives..toward
finding happiness. that's where it is @..for all of else.

..so there's our unit mental health 101. i hope you find it useful
enough..to take advantage..of making your life...more happy!



ps, me?...jus because...i'm in the profession..doesn't mean..
i excluded or anything special...i having to work @ it...jus
like everyone else...& i do make mistakes.
