I would take Mony's ...I see that cute face every time I come to this page. :goodvibes

I have a whole album of 8X10's of each child from birth, birthdays and Christmas. And school pictures. They have their own portfolio they could be models...:lmao: So far I have been keeping up with there school albums too, teachers name , grade, reports cards and awards. And how tall they were when the year started , what they want to be at the time.

Kay-- glad the shower went well. I love seeing wee little baby clothes etc. Makes me want another one or wish I knew someone having one that would share.... What are you going to do for your birthday tomorrow?

Yes, the clothes and wee little socks and such were adorable. I sure hope the doctor is right, because 95% of everything she got is pink!

I don't have many birthday plans. We're under a lot of pressure to get a zillion things done this week before vacation. I'm content with a quick birthday lunch at a new restaurant in town.

BTW, we went to a GREAT event at our local living history museum last night. It was a lot like the Epcot Food & Wine festival only it was a flat fee of $30/person and you got much bigger samples. Several of the Finger Lakes wineries were set up to give samples, and there was food from various restaurants and caterers. They had three bands playing various styles of music in different parts of the historic village. That was about as good of a birthday celebration as I could wish for.

Sis, Sorry to hear about your Mom's decline. I know how hard this is for you. They just put my mother on some new medicine to improve her mood as in the last few weeks she has become crabby and uncooperative about baths, medicines, getting dressed. They said she was getting combative, actually striking out at the nurses. :scared1: She has never been like this and they see no reason except for advancing old age. On a brighter note, I am glad to hear things are still going well with your son. We're looking forward to more news and pictures.

Kay, sounds like a nice event you went to over the weekend! Glad the baby shower went OK. I sure hope the father comes around once the baby is born.

Nabbie - What a great idea to be able to go over to the water park. I'm sure the kids will love that. And you'll be able to get out of the sun to relax whenever you want.

I wish I had been better about keeping Mari's school photos organized as I went along like you have done, Nab. I did work on some scrapbooks for her high school graduation open house, but didn't get all the way done with her school years. I have been organizing my scrapbooking supplies lately and will get back to working on her scrapbooks at some point this summer/fall.

Marita - You'll definitely need an 8 x 10 of your handsome son in uniform!!!

Wendy - Don't hate me . . . I just had a 149 point NON-bingo!!!!!!!! Not as good as Mony's 194 pointer, but I am still in shock! :goodvibes

Thanks, SIS, it's hard. I would wish you happy birthday now, but I can't. Mom always said that is bad luck to say that early, so I won't.
SOrry your mom is having issues too  I am lucky that have have my brother at home dealing with it all.

Hey Mony, did you hear? You have a request for another baby

Kay started with talking about baby showers.... I used to love walking though the baby sections at stores.

Moo-- it will be good and I can stay over night or just go home.

I have the kitchen guy coming tomorrow to replace three doors that had scratches on them and new hinges on the pantry doors so they don't open so wide and hit the bulk head by the patio doors then it will be complete and I will have to pay them. And my curtains are getting installed tomorrow too.

Nabbie - You KNOW we'll need a pic of your new curtains once they're installed!

Night, all. Hope everyone has a great week.

Hey, it's 11:30 and I am actually heading to bed for once before 12:30.

Happy Monday to all!

melinda invited me (us) over here. thought I'd pop in and say hey. I notice Kay is here! nice to see you again!
free dining 2010? hmm. hopefully we'll be living there... ok maybe not, but you never know. Nebo and I agreed... even when we live there, we still have to take a "trip" and stay onsite... can't give that up!!! just a much shorter drive!
we have a baby shower for our first grandaughter on july 26. no I haven't bought any disney princess stuff for her, but I did buy a pink White Sox outfit

Morning Moovers!

smidgy: Hi! I hope you like it over here and its so nice to see you.

Nab: I hate laundry anyways, but I hate it more after a trip.

Sandy: Hugs honey. Just keep looking at Maddy and that will cheer you up.

Help me figure out what's in the bag!

Today I go to the dr. for my neck thingy. I found my old films I guess I'll bring them along and feel like a big urber nerd cause everything is on computer now. But that was back from 2001 so what ya gonna do?

Monday groan..............

morning.......had to get up early and put out the trash buckets ...its MONDAY.......always get up and do that early so I wont have trash for two weeks....

Marita....my mom was that way and they finally got her something to make her a wee bit happy. She was in a nursing home and was not happy at all. But the doctor said that this would be easier for her......older people even if they are not in nursing homes need a little pill to take the edge off.....I didnt realize that more then 75 percent of the elderly are depressed.......very strange.. same with my mil .......

I have a new great grand niece and another one due soon so that means I go and buy some more baby stuff and then another grand niece due in November.I love new babies and this means that the Christmas party this year will be babies and young ones all over the place.......gotta love that.......

I am going to go now and make my breakfast before first rug rat arrives.

Oh yah.....today is HOPEFULLY my final check up for after surgery.....I need new specs so I can read and walk like a normal person.....hahaha......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAY!!!!

I hope your lunch is wonderful! I forgot where you said you are going on vacation? I didn't know you were from the finger lakes area. I've been there and it was a little slice of heaven....so beautiful. My niece is an Ithaca College alum. RE: babies....I bet you can't wait. I love little yummy, sweet smelling babies...especially when they belong to someone else and I can give them back when they need their diapers changed. ;)

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

So....I stayed up late last night to watch Atonement. It was good but depressing. Give me An Ideal Husband any day.

Gotta take my car to the shop this morning. It's leaking sumpm.....maybe power steering fluid? Who should I wake to follow me over there? Mimi?

Gonna be a long day. Gotta go to yucky job #2 after I finish 8 hours at job #1.

Marita....Sorry to hear about your mom.

SMIDGY!!! Welcome! I'm so glad you decided to stop by. I hope you and Steve will become regulars!

Monica....Hope the neck thing can be fixed with some therapy. Keep us posted.

DTD
....I hear Kenny won again! :thumbsup2

Moo....You don't have to be in any hurry to get the baby and kid pictures together. At least you know they're all of Mari.

EVERYBODY ELSE & WENDEE.....:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Is it time to hold hands and sing Kumbahfrigginya? :rotfl2:

Seriously, this is a lovely group of people. I am thankful to know you all, and to have the benefit of your friendship! :grouphug:

This still makes me :rotfl2:

Pumba You sure have been busy!! Good luck at your doctors - have you adjusted to the new eyes? I still think its very brave to have someone do eye surgery while you are not only awake - but you have to watch!!

It's a sad day, Nebo just posted his last post on his trip report.

:welcome: Smidgey and Nebo!!

Heres wishing you a safe and happy trip Lynette :goodvibes:

Just so Lynette knows we're still thinking of her!!

My next vacation is 3 days in lovely Montgomery, Alabama in about 3 weeks. w00t! and 2 days of driving :drive:

Have safe travels Marita - and I do hope things settle for your mom - change is hard... I cant imagine how excited everyone is - do you listen to books on "tape" (or CD or ??) Check them out at the library, fdil listened to a Stephen King novel...

I booked the "in case we win the powerball" package on the bounceback so I had to change practically everything but the key thing I changed was that I went from deluxe dining to regular free dining. The CM had to get "approval" for that so I could stay at POR. I also knocked off two nights of the stay and changed the participants.

This must be some preconceived notion of this precious child. It is dated 2 1/2 years ago.

MONY How truly precious!! (and yes I didnt notice the date stamp until Melinda pointed it out!! lol) Good luck with your appointment - still dancing with you on the good news from Tim's doctors!!

During September free dining 2010!

As long as we don't arrive on the 18th (Emily's birthday), I'm good to go!

PICK ME!!! Are you taking any of your dds? I think we may cancel our Oct trip - our car is on its last legs - maybe $2500 worth of work needed.. :scared1: and that is our Disney money!

Not if it's in her scrap book!

A very organized and loving mom!!

What no trail of bread crumbs?!!!???

I know you guys were trying to lose me but they don't call me Nancy Drew for nuthin ;)

Sounds like your trail led others here as well - way to go Twinkie - I saw Tootsweet posting on the CB (I still get lost when I wander on the CB you know! I just cant resist some train wrecks!!)

Wendy How goes the house showings? We passed 2 Cabellas, and once Bass Pro Shop - all I could think of was your trip report!! :rotfl2: You are a very talented lady!!

MommyP did you get a sewing machine?? DD wants to start sewing!

Moo are you taking any vacation days this summer? or are you just saving for the Disney journeys?

We're home and happy - lots of "therapy" sessions on Sunday with my other aunts, and a few "kids" (adult variety) LOTS OF LAUGHTER!! They all congratulated me on telling the aunt that she replaced me in my own family - and we just laughed - I of course apologized to the aunt (she is 2 years older than me - and we just hugged, and laughed too!) Everyone is looking forward to coming to the Lake on Aug 16 for the "Bridal shower/party"

I think mostly, it felt good to be together again, a family that used to get together for Christmas, and now only for "weddings and funerals" and there hasnt been a wedding in years!! So this felt so good -

You should have seen us invade Bob Evan's :rotfl2: The balloon man made some amazing balloons (a Bride, and a Princess Aurora!!)

Thanks for hanging in there with me!! One of my cousins (she has 4 kids, oldest is 14, youngest 3 1/2) is doing some kind of ministry - she has a lovely spirit - its all about love - and prayer - and believe!! and of course a little pixie dust helps!! ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAY

Hi everyone...I worked way to hard and mowed the lawn on Sat....it was way too HOT..but I wanted to get it done before the rain came....so I overdid it and I layed around all day yesterday and watched church on tv and a few movies and did nothing else ....this week I have to go back to Bowing Green maybe twice....Im down-sizing a booth at Flealand cause the rent is 220.00 a month for 2 spots and a showcase. ...so I will save 95.00 per month going to one spot and keeping the show cause ....due to high gas prices and this being 80 miles away I dont go as often and people just are NOT spending money like usual. So It will a more busier week for me than usual

I Smidgy! I miss you guys. I really need to catch up on your news. It sounds like you moved/are moving?

THANKS FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES! They're beautiful and I really appreciate them so much. :lovestruc I have hardly any family, so I only get a couple real birthday cards. Online ones are very nice and make my day more special.

We are going to Myrtle Beach. We've never been there, and I'm pretty excited about getting to be by the ocean, swim some, and lay around with a book and relax.

We are between Buffalo and Rochester, so are about an hour from the nearest Finger Lakes. It's a beautiful area, and the region produces some excellent wines. When we bought our current land we started a small vineyard at the other end of our acreage. The vines are starting to take off this year, and many have some sizeable clusters of grapes for the first time. We also have lots of berries from strawberries to elderberries, currants etc. and have been making berry wines for a few years. The currant and elderberry wines have gotten high praise from our friends who have tried it.

I am fearfully/joyfully anticipating being a Grandmother. I am "baby illiterate" so am more comfortable when the baby gets past the newborn stage to a size that I feel less likely I'll break it. :rotfl: Thank goodness I can come here for advice and guidance. :)
