Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Moo - congrats on Hawaii - The Live with Kelli show is going to be there on Monday - doing a wedding - on the wish comp/event thread there is a wish runner that is from Hawaii, and he posted his review when it first opened - it was delightful! You'll have a great time (and I think cooking in your villa is a great idea!) I googled (aluani trip report + disboards) and found the first thread
http://www.htp.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2789797 Its from Jeff aka Mkymsehi post 12 is the start, but the last pages has more of his trip and more pictures.

Marita - is the Mardi Gras parade open to all CM's? or just "special" ones? My friend moved from New Orleans to Orlando - she has a job in reservations (and loves it - she's made new friends, and posts on another message board, she is truly happy living in the magic! she's in her 50's too)

Nab - good luck cooking, and you can cook pancakes ahead of time - freeze them, maybe go with crepes and add the nutella? (or would that be a dessert?)

Pumba - hope you're feeling better! I tried to make popcorn - our kernals are too old!

Not been in a good mood since dh was let go from his brand new "dream" job. Back to no insurance, no income. Life sux big time.

sandy...Hope that your hubby finds something that will be good for him and for you...

I used to make pancakes or crepes ahead of time and put in individual tupper ware containers...or in baggies...and when the kids (now almost 40 and 42) would wake up for school LATE...which was most mornings...they put it in the microwave while they dress and it was ready for them...worked most of the mornings..who wouldnt want a good French crepe for breakfast...

yesterday I did laundry and caught up on some stuff...hubby painted the laundry area and the room that will be used when people come in from the pool area...it will look great when we put tile on that floor...

yesterday our realtor brought the new potential owners and a rental management person and a potential renter to the old place...the potential owner and his son was busy thinking about where to place the furniture in the first floor.....I loved the front living room there as the sun was so bright and warmed up the room in the winter.....it was wonderful...the P O's also gave the rental mgt person another 500 bucks so he can show it and get them tenants without them having to do it...but after that the P O's will do the stuff themselves...its a win win for them ..

I am anxious for that to happen...closing date is right around the corner..

We are also doing a surprise birthday for our daughter...its a 40th party for her and I hope she will love it...invited mostly our immediate family and her friends ...we love to feed the troops so still thinking of menu....our granddaughter will do the cake and ice cream ...my DIL will make the sangria thingies...wine and sparkling soda..or something ...

we started the measuring the living room upstairs and the dining area and kitchen area...going to pull up the laminate flooring and put down high end vinyl and carpet for the other ...carpet will go down the hallway and down the stairs to the other living space...THEN we wont slip and the dog wont fall anymore...she limps most days because her front legs go one way and her back legs are trying to move too...the floor is wicked slippery..

well I htink that is it for now...have a good day and see ya later moovers

Sandy-- Prayers your husband finds something soon.

Pumba-- your getting closer. What a relief it will be when you don't have to worry about the other property. Funny how everyone wants hardwood and or has laminate in their house but I am like you it can be wicked slippery, especially on the stairs. I will stick to my carpet, warmer too.

We didn't go anywhere yesterday, would have loved to go see my mom. We had mini snow storms yesterday. It would blow where you couldn't see. Then snowed really heavy , then the sun came out , then another mini snow storm. Shoveled twice. It was really wet heavy stuff too. Nice to make snowman but that is about it. Now today the sun is shining. :confused3

Off to church then who knows. Maybe we will go away.....

Sorry,Sandy the parade is for Port CM's only. Hope things get better for your and your hubby soon!

Pumba, I'd love to come to one of your spreads one day, LOL.

I went to the baby shower yesterday and was bored out of my mind. Tons of 20 somethings there and a lot of toddlers. I only knew 3 people, When they still hadn't gotten to opening the gifts 1:45 hours into it, I decided to cut my losses and drive the 45 minuts home.

Next two days should be busy with Mardi gras (I hope) and a lunch tomorrow and an ADA class.

Better get to bed...... Can't get in it, can't get out of it...........

morning..
Hubby has today off and he is busy doing something...hahaha....he is always going to be busy cause he likes to tinker with EVERYTHING..

We were at Port Orleans one year and got loads of beads....they sometimes put them near the checkout area of the food court...I would pick up a few and wear them daily and then ended up bringing home 20 of them...gave them to my daughter and she handed them out to the kids in her home room...WHEN THEY WERE GOOD..

SUn is out and I love it...makes the house so warm and comfy...even at 21 degrees out...

HAVE a good day everyone..

Busy weekend.

After our strange weather on Saturday it warmed up the sun came out so we decided to go to my Mom's after all since we had Monday off too. Well at least I thought we all did hubby had to work last night.

It was nice spending time with my Mom on her birthday. We took her out for dinner and celebrated hers and my hubby's. His is this Wed. Yesterday hubby took the kids tubing at a ski resort. They had a blast. I stayed with my mom. Spent some time just the two of us it was great. We don't do that often enough there is always a lot of people around since I have five brothers and sisters.

I'm sure it is going to be hard to get the kids up for school this morning they went to bed late everynight this weekend and were up earlier then school.

Have to remember it is Tuesday today not Monday....

morning everyone..

I had to remember today is Tuesday too...Kids in our area have off all week...Presidents week off....so does Mass and NH too I think and CT...so Disney must be rolling in people...

Sun is out and it is a balmy 16...YUCK...Had my english muffin and enjoying my coffee....I love that part...quiet except the dog yelling at something she sees..

I did something to my knee yesterday...twisted it wrong...I guess...going down the stairs is okey but going up is like someone is stabbing it...

Company coming today...My friend from years ago, and then my brother and sister in law and then my other sister too...we are having lunch ..Italian sandwiches...

Hope you all have a great day...Is today Fat Tuesday??? Beginning of Lent starts tomorrow

/
Pumba-- Is this considered there spring break then?

Yes it also known as Fat Tuesday or Pancake day. I will have my pancakes tomorrow because we can't have meat tomorrow, and I have that potluck tonight with the Guides. I decided to take raviloi and marinara sauce. The raviloi has mozzeralla cheese, tomato and basil in them. And no I did not make them....but they are the fresh ones in the deli and then the sauce. I hate potlucks. Let me bring the dessert then it would be from scratch.

My back is killing me today. That what the heck I didn't go tubing. It must have been the bending I was doing putting some of my mom's jigsaw puzzel together. Leaning over the table for a long time. She always has one on the go and who ever comes over is always helping her out even though she doesn't need help. She is pretty good at it so we keep buying ones we think will be really hard.

Not sure what I am giving up for Lent. Hannah says she is giving up snacking at night. Maybe I should do that with her too. That is my worse food time at night while watching TV. Even while watching Biggest Loser. popcorn::

Beatiful day today, I even opened my back patio door for a bit. Buddy likes to sniff at the fresh air. He does this at the front door when some comes in.

Went to Hannah's school , they had a mass and got ashes. Which are pretty well gone now because of my bangs.

It is hubby's birthday today so I also made him a giant chocolate chip cookie. That is what he wanted. Since it is Ash Wednesday we had pancakes because we couldn't have meat today and he worked last night so he slept all day. Is off tomorrow so I am sure we will be out and about again.

Where is Moo? Want to know how she is liking all the drama on Biggest Loser?

we didnt have the kids give up something for lent because they only had candy on Candy day...which was after church on Sundays....they would take their quarter and go to the store and get their candy...ROFL.
SOOOOO that being said...they had to do good things for others and also say nice things to people ...even if they didnt like them...
I had something called my penance slippers...I crocheted them...and every time i ended up thinking bad things about SOME ONE...or saying something not really nice..I said OOPS..and would make a pair of slippers...donated them to the church bazarre...the Nuns thought i was a kook but I didnt...I knew..

Today hubby went to the other house and cut the couch and chair up and took it to the dump...it was on the third floor and it was an over sized couch set...so it went up one time when the back porch didnt have the combo windows on it...just screens...so it came up over the back porch on a pulley...I laugh at this now..
The sign was gone on our old house...no more for sale...I thought someone had stolen it...cause the house isnt gone until the house money is in our account...but she is very confident and that makes me happy..

SOOOo tomorrow is another day...yesterday Ava fell down the stairs...or should I say rolled down the stairs..from the living room to the front door...scared the bejeebies out of her and out of me...I scooped her up and held her tight and inspected her over and then she said...Ree Ree ..let me down I am okey...scared me so...She lost her little diamond earring someplace..not here but probably at her house in bed or something...so her mom took her to the jewelry store and got her birth stone...Ruby...she is a July child...she will be four then.....cant believe she has been with me since she was 6 months old...couldnt have her going to a day care and not being able to talk if someone was mean to her...so I said she will come here and she has stayed since then...

Tomorrow is another day...Thursday to be exact...but my time is off ...still a day off someplace...

have a good night everyone

Pumba - Poor Ava! That must have been scary for you!!!

We're supposed to be getting a lot of the white stuff tonight. I REALLY hope the forecast is wrong :lmao: I saw on FB that Mony's kids are wishing for snow, but I'd prefer not to have slippery roads for driving the rest of the winter :)

Poor little Ava glad she is ok. I run now even my big kids slip on the stairs and I will hear I'm ok....

Moo-- we are suppose to get a big snow storm here too , kids were hoping for a snow day as well.

But got up this morning and there is barely anything out there. Granted that could change by this afternoon. Matter fact I am looking out and we are getting big fluffy snowflakes now but nothing to close schools down. I love having no snow. Yesterday the snow was all melted away and way above 0. Wierd , weird winter.

I did all my food shopping yesterday so I could stay in, even planned on making chili today.

we are in for some snow today too...they said first 4 to 8 and then they lowered it to 3 to 6...YUCK...we shall see...We have had robins and spring birds and the red and grey squirrels are running all over the trees in the back yard...well on the other side of the fence back yard....no more trees in the fenced area around the pool....

I would love to feed you Marita..I may not be fancy but I love to cook the good ol' fashion meals...like lasagna, or pasta dishes...or do the grill foods...I love to make the pasta and macaroni type salads....and oh I LOVE to do the 7 layer taco dip...that always goes the minute I make it at a party...or crabmeat mousse...that is delish and so easy to make...

Hope we dont have the snow...I HATE IT...so see ya later gators or moovers..

We only ended up with 2-3 inches of snow today. Yay!!! I wasn't able to sleep last night, so I slept in a bit and I didn't go into work until after lunch. I'm trying to be really careful about taking time off because I need all my sick and vacation time when I have my knee surgery :(

However, I have an evening public meeting next week and will end up with a few extra hours from that, so I should be OK. SO happy it's the weekend!!!!!

Nabbie and Pumba - Hope the snow gods are kind to you :goodvibes

Just checking in. Sorry, I've been a bad Moover lately. Not much to report, s.oame old stuff. Except I went to the Dr. this week to get a physical cause I needed my BP meds renewed. Now he's sending me to yet another DF. and thinks I may have had a heart attack (not that I noticed) and send me for a stress test after I go back next week for lab results. Plus I have to see the Neurosurgeaon on Tuesday and still have to make an appt with the lung specialist. I can't tell you how much I regreat not getting the 90% insureance coverage in Novemeber. Through all this, I feel fine, I had no clue I was close to death, LOL (kidding - maybe?)

I decided to get my nails doen again, did I say that already? I'll endure the boredom to feel nicer. Plus I really need a haircut soo bad. And I have to go grocery shopping for some better foods, which also means I have to clean out the freezer to make room. Plus it's forecast week again, and I made my dr. appt for the busiet day, not realizing it. So much to do, so little time.

I confess, I havent caught up on reading, so pleae forgive me for lack of comments, I'll try to get back on track very soon.

good morning you all..

Marita...less stress ...calm ...take big deep breathes ...and go for any appt they send you ...so you can take care of yourself...cause we all love you...
How did your cessation of smoking do??? that would be the main one...cause it helps with even our bp...

OKEY this is news...we got a snow storm during the night...and I woke up and looked out the window...it may be only three inches or so....but it is so gorgeous out there...I took two photos and hubby will fix it for me to put on my email..It is simply a winter beauty photo...I cant believe something so dreadful as the white stuff can be so pretty...hahaha........YAH DONT FAINT I said that..

Remember in two weeks we do the clocks I think...and then I know we are almost to spring and summer....

Hope you all have a good day...I may stay in my housecoat for a bit..

I love you all and appreciate everyone of you....someone told me it was friendship day...so you are my dear friends...some facial strangers but some I have hugged...

Marita-- that sounds stressful just reading it.

We were suppose to get a big snow storm. Well we got snow then rain , and snow again, even the sun out for a bit and rain again last night. You needed rain boots instead of winter boots to go walking on the sidewalks. They were all slush for a while. Now we have patches of snow here and sidewalk cleared themselves. :confused3 Some kids even had a snow day called the night before ......we did not. My kids went to school yesterday.

Hubby toke me to the show last night we went to see The Decendants with George Clooney. It was good. Lots of kids swearing and disrespectful though. Definitely a chick flick. I do love that we can leave the kids for a few hours on there own. No babysitter needed.

Everyday is friendship day here. I too am happy for my internet friends. :grouphug:

Just had to post this here:

regardless of how far into the future said trips may be. ;) This cruise (on which we wrote the TR) was luv's first, and it was so enjoyable, so special, that another cruise after the wedding seemed a natural choice to extend the celebration. I already have a few items about which to start a pre-TR for the 2013 event, but 17 months out seems a little long to begin typing one. :rolleyes1

Looks like Sheridac is getting married to Sleepydog

I stayed up and watched the Oscars last night , usually I don't but a saw a few of the movies and wanted to see how they did. Never saw the wining one though. The Artist.

Now I am tired this morning. Should have just recorded the last hour. Do love that it is brighter when I get up in the morning though. Clocks go ahead soon.

Not much happening here. Can't believe Feb is almost over. This month is flying by fast.

Marita-- do you have to work any extra hours for that 24 hour park opening for leap year? Is it only one park I can't remember?
