Back in November 05 we went to LeCellier on the dining package and had both the Chocolate Moose and the Smores for dessert at LECellier and it was THE highlight for DD8 at the time. I keep reading reviews and have an ADR for September but haven't heard too much about these desserts and the menus at allears.com doesn't have it either -- are they gone, please tell me, they are not gone:eek:

My DS8 loved the Moose last June but it looks to me like they don't offer it anymore. My DS4 got the raspberry sorbet which is also not listed now. We could only get a lunch reservation this year so that's a different menu anyway but it was disappointing to see the changes.

They still have both - we had the Moose a couple of weeks ago and we saw the Smores pass by.

That's good to hear. The allearsnet.com menu was updated Feb 2007 and it only lists fruit cup and ice cream sundae as the kids desserts. I think the themed desserts are so cute!

What are these? We have our first ADR for Le Cellier this August (gotta see what all the hoopla is about!).

I know what a smore is, but do they do something special? And are you saying that they have a dessert shaped like a moose? That'd be fun!

Oh Good. I didn't check the kids' menu -- they were so elaborate and good that I just assumed they were from the regular menu -- I hope we can order them now that everyone is older than 10!

The Moose is actually chocolate mouse shaped like a ... yeah, you get it. I think it was covered in an oreo crumb, and had antlers, etc.

The Smores was a graham cracker ice cream cookie with through the middle (don't remember what the stick was made out of) topped with a marshmallow.

The presentation of these desserts were almost as good as the taste and they were our favorites on the dining plan (though to be fair we aren't dessert eaters really).

Thanks! That is too funny! Our kids will love the moose (or mousse).

ooo, glad to hear they are still on the menu...we are going back as the kids want the mouse again..last trip 2 yrs ago my then 5 yr old made such a friend with our waitress that they had a special "magic moment" over dessert....the head pastry chef brought out 2 child chef jackets and hats, and all the makings for the mouse and taught them how to make it themselves...it was quite a show...

our year of magical dreams without the slogan!!

Have they changed it again??? We were there in December and the moose and the smores were NOT on the kids menu. They were on the adult menu only. The kids on DDP could get them, but had to pay $3 extra. The kids dessert was a "make your own sundae."

we went the last week of March and the moose was ONLY on the adult menu.

The moose and smores are still only on the Adult menu at Le Cellier. In terms of taste the moose was much better but the smores are very cool looking. We usually order 1 of each. Luckily on our last visit 2 of the adults were too full for dessert so they ordered the smores and moose for the kids to eat. At pretty much every TS now the only kids desserts are ice cream or fruit cup....the older cool kids desserts have all migrated to the adult menus.

As the last two posters said, the moose is only an adult desert now. If you want it for your child you have to pay OOP for it, or get it for yourself and switch with your kid. These are no longer part of the children's menus anymore. As for the rasberries, they too are gone and replaced with M&Ms.
