Moonlight Magic v. Merry Mixer In December

We're getting awfully close to 90 days out from December and have heard nothing about either Moonlight Magic nor Merry Mixers.
I loved there being something special happening for DVC during the holidays, but am losing hope.

I thought they announced a few years ago that Merry Mixers were no longer.

I don't recall an official announcement, just us presuming that they were being replaced by Moonlight Magic. Last December had 2 Moonlight Magic dates as opposed to the usual 3 or 4 Merry mixers.

Yes, DVC did confirm the Mixers are gone.

I know this is a grinch-like comment but frankly I was always irked by the presence of the Mixers. For more than a decade, the Mixers were the only recurring free member event, and they were always held between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not everyone can travel during that window.

I realize that some members looked forward to the Mixers every year but with the Moonlight Magic nights, at least they have events accessible to Owners who travel during different times of the year.

Okay, I missed the official announcement then.
I really don't care what people thought of the Merry Mixers good or bad, just find it incredible that they now seem to be offering nothing in December. (That is, aside from the meeting.) Chances are slipping away that there will be a Moonlight Magic event too with all the up-charge events being offered.

First sign ups for DHS MM is within a week. Maybe after those are out of the way MS can concentrate on the next round. I’m hoping there will be more announced.
