Moonlight Magic # of people and rooms question.

I'm trying to figure out how I can pull off this scenario for MM:

My family of 4 have a reservation and my wife and I are both DVC members. My brother and a nephew will also be with us but staying in a separate "regular" room (they are not DVC members). If my brother puts my wife also on his reservation (so she will be on both reservations), can she then register herself and my brother and nephew (as they will all be on the same room reservation) for MM and I can then register myself and rest of family, as we will all be on a different reservation? It will still be a total of 6.

It’s one registration for the membership. So, unless they are in your reservation, it won’t work.

If you have room to add more guests, do it..you don’t have to say who is going to MM so it doesn’t have to be them..use middle names.

If your room is full occupany then you won’t be able to bring extra guests.

I think the only other potential option is to wait until open registration and not take advantage of the early one.

Just to confirm,,,you just need to add any two people to the room so that when you register, it shows 6…it just has to be done a few days before registration.

You don’t enter names to get the actual tickets other than the one member who will be there for the event.

If you booked two dvc rooms with points you can book for all. It’s only when there’s a cash room that There’s an issue. I booked 2 studios with my points and according to the rules I should be able to add everyone when I book.

Okay, that makes sense. That's our aim--early registration.

We've never been when there was an MM so are MM newbies in every sense.

This is why they tell you to take care of your room capacity prior to a certain date. We add our florida friends to our reservations all the time.

This leads to another question then…if my brother and nephew are not on our original reservation, can I make MM reservation during the early registration and then my wife tries to do it during the general registration to include my brother and nephew (with the hope that there is still space available)?

No. Once someone gets tickets on the membership, you can’t get more.

So, if you don’t have room to add two random guests…they don’t have to be your brother and nephew..to your room so you can get them during early registration, then your only option is to wait and try dueing general which risks no one getting them.
