Our last night of our upcoming trip coincides with the moonlight magic night at Typhoon Lagoon. Just wondering if anyone has been and if they found it fun. Was is considerably less crowded than normal times there? Debating if we should try and sign up or just enjoy one last night at the parks? TIA

Last year we arrived about an hour before the published opening time and were able to go right in. In the first hour we rode the major slides multiple times without much wait. However, as the evening went on it got really crowded. Don't know if they still let people in early, but we would have been disappointed otherwise.

Had a great time last year at the one around 4th of July. Plenty of swim time, lazy river, dance, eats and not a long wait for this photo!

I still really enjoyed last year, but it was much, much more crowded than the 2015 beach bash.

I’m rather bummed that this summer’s trip does not include any events.

We had planned on going to the one in May at TL, now that you said snakes I may be rethinking this, but I'll have to convince the adult kids and their counterparts to not go, since if I say I don't want to go they will want to know why and when I tell them they will tell me I am crazy, but I cannot even look at a picture of a snake. I have seen a few at Disney and at Vero and I do not do well an extra nite at the park seems better.

I totally get it. Please don't let it change your mind. Just something that I think about when contemplating TL from dusk on. Almost all of our WDW snake sightings have been at dusk. My assumption is that I just don't see them at night because it is dark.

I went with my DS11 last year. We had a great time but were very surprised how crowded it was. The lazy river felt like we were sardines bathing with hundreds of our closest friends. I would rather buy a ticket, or use my PAP, and go there on a regular day.

We went in 2016 and had a great time. I even lost track of time and we stayed way later than intended. Agree with others that it was very crowded though, particularly past the first hour (we were there when they started letting people in at 7 pm).

We went again this past October on a holiday weekend. It was a moderately hot day, and the park was virtually empty by comparison. I don't think we waited more than 5-10 minutes for anything that day.

We went last year and it was pretty good. Went in as soon as we could, but head right to the back of the water park for more room. It did get crowded later but not too bad.

We have been for the last two years and we did enjoy our time, but it was busy. Teenagers had to wait in long lines for the bigger rides. Adults stuck to the wave pool and lazy river, which were busy as well. Each entry point on the lazy river had groups of people waiting for empty tubes to grab. Thankfully, never saw any snakes!!!

Snack options were plentiful, but again, long lines to get the items and in summer, those Mickey Bars melted before we could get them back to our seating area.

Overall, a nice event, but just set your expectations that it will be busy. Later in the evening, the crowds did disperse, but it also was getting cooler and not overly enjoyable to stand in the evening air in a wet bathing suit.

Also, the busing to the park both times was terrible. Huge crowd trying to get on one bus. Coordinators assigned to the bus area did not have any information on additional buses. First year we caught left form Disney Springs and 2nd year from Bay Lake Tower. I think it was handled by Mears and was not handled well. A guest in an ECV was waiting near us and when the the bus pulled up we quickly realized there was not an option to get the ECV on the bus. The coordinator also did not know how the guest was going to get to the park. Disney is usually so good with this aspect and yet failed on this occasion. Heading home at the end of the evening was much better because people left at different times, so crowds were not an issue. Also, the coordinators at each bus stop seemed better prepared to answer questions and handle the ECV guests.

Hope this helps.

We also felt it was crowded. But loved it anyone. So fun! We made sure to get wristbands at the resort and that sped up the entry a lot. People getting bands at the park waited forever. We caught the first bus available from our resort, walked right in, got some seats and hit the family raft ride and waited maybe 15 min. :) We rode again later in the night and waited like 30 min. Got snacks and drinks, played in the wave pool. Did the crushin gusher a few times. Kids didn’t want to do character meets, but they looked fun.
