Any idea what will happen at this?
I could not get a DVC room, but got a hotel room for the one night.
Before I book flight though, I would like some idea of if it is worth it.
Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Unknown, they haven't said a word. At Epcot there isn't much to do as far as rides or attractions. The lines even during a private event may be really long.

Thanks for the reply. I have BLT Dec 12-19, and flight booked for those dates. To change my flight to the 11th at this point would cost more, of course. Last year I went at Christmas for the first time. I really enjoyed the Candlelight Processional and the Epcot storytellers. I went to MVMCP, and the member Xmas party. The member party was fun to go to once, but I don't know if it would be worth coming in a day early and extra air & hotel cost. (The free member ornament was a real disappointment. What a cheap looking piece of junk!)
Since this is a new event, we really don't know if it will be similar, or "now, something completely different" (Monty Python reference).
I imagine there will be at least a few character M&G. I wonder what else.

FYI: reservations for the Moonlight Magic at EPCOT open on October 24th for people who have a DVC reservation for the night of the event they wish to attend. NON DVC have to wait until November 7, if there are any slots left over. Unless you are able to book a DVC room for the night of the 11th, you will have to wait until Nov. 7th to try for reservations, making your decision even more difficult. Just wanted you to be aware before you book airfare. Good luck !

I have seen what they are doing for the AK Moonlight Magic and would hope that the line up for EPCOT would be about the same. It almost looks like a MNSSHP or MVMCP for free.

I read "Disney resort reservation" not "dvc reservation". In any case, have they never done one in years past that we have information from? I can't find a review or info anywhere.

Yes, I got the email too, and that late booking date, just about 30 days before, is why I hesitate. If I could just try to book now, I would know if I get a spot. While an extra day at WDW is always nice for me, it is extra expense, and a late night on a travel day. I never sleep the night before I travel, so that is being awake about.com 40 hours before the party starts! :rolleyes2

The email specified DVC reservation, as many have quoted. No, they have not done one in years past. For several years though they did have a member Christmas party at Epcot event space. You can read members reports and thoughts about those here on Disboards.
