I'm heading back out there in a week and will spend 7 days there so I will try and get out some more. Later this week I will try and post some of my newer shots.

My creature shots are all with 70-200 with some using 1.4 multiplier. Just drive along the coast in Pacific Grove and you should see plenty of sea otters, seals and sea lions.

I can't believe this thread is still alive but it is an incredible area.

Here are a last couple for now.

To give you some perspective on the waves, these people are about 20 feet above water level and look at that splash!

I must have seen at least a dozen different whales from Sea Lion Point and Cypress Grove Trail.

Thanks. I might go ahead and pick up that last minute camera gift for me and add 1.4x into my bag. I am a week away from our trip. I will start packing gear this weekend. I hope to add to this thread soon. I cannot wait to see this beautiful place through my daughter's eyes.

Everyone thanks for the comments.

Mark-I am shooting a Canon 40D and I had on 70-200/2.8 with 1.4x on it. The otter was located at the same spot the picture with the yellow flowers was taken which I'm sure you recognize from PG. I wish the last picture was sharper but it was windy so I must not have stood still. Did you vacation out there this year?

Next trip I hope to get back to the aquarium and see their new sea horse exhibit.
