Monsters replace Muppets replace Aerosmith

I'm devastated. As a huge Muppets fan who can't ride thrill rides, I would sit through concurrent performances of MuppetVision3D while the rest of my party found their thrills. I will deeply miss this ride, and find it disrespectful to Jim's legacy.

I love Aerosmith and RnR; it is a family favorite. Not sold on the Muppets on the ride. At all. Excited for the Monsters, Inc. space.

The Monsters land will include a theater attraction, which seems like a replacement for M3D, rather than a removal.

Huge muppets fan but not real thrilled about the retheming of RNR to muppets. Agree that RNR needs to be rethemed, but this retheme doesn’t leave me with a good feeling that 3D will be saved. My mom, who loves the muppets, can’t ride RNR anymore so will miss out if this is what’s considered “moving” muppets 3d.

I definitely am excit d for Monsters and hope Pizza Rizzo and Mama’s are returned to something else.

What MuppetVision still has is the BEST pre-ride/wait area. Just there in September, and it completely holds up. If they can incorporate that into the RNRC queue area it would be both a respectful nod AND more interesting than trying to figure out what Disney pop artists they are trying to promote there.

Electric Mayhem was one of the top suggestions people kept mentioning for Rock n Roller Coaster, but of course now that it is happening, they aren't happy. (I realize this does not apply to everyone.)

I don't like the ride at all, and not because of theming. I'm not an upside down coaster fan. So I get that I don't really have skin in the game here, but I do think Aerosmith is tired at this point. To be fair, I've never been a fan of theirs.

Sad to see Muppetvision go, but hoping they can reimagine it somewhere else.

All in all, I'm not mad about this announcement.

I mean, these days, Steven Tyler basically IS a Muppet!




That said, I love both The Muppets and Aerosmith. I can still ride RNRC for now, but it is usually a one-and-done.

Mama Melrose is becoming Harryhausen’s per concept art, nothing official yet on what’s replacing PizzeRizzo.

Yes, they did mention that a Monsters Inc. type show will be included int he land and the current theaters looks to be intact in the concept art. I wonder if it will be somethign like Laugh Floor and, if so, will they keep Laugh Floor where it is?

Disney has some level of a hard deadline of 2031. And I think you will see something open every year from 2025 to 2031. 2025 being Test Track 3.0 and 2026 will probably be Muppets Coaster 3D

That's my guess too. The theatre will be some sort of enhanced Laugh Floor concept, or possibly laugh floor as a preshow filler for a 3D movie/simulator theatre. This woudl allow them to remove it from Magic Kingdom to open up that space for a potential Tomorrowland redo.

I’m really excited about this! One being that when we rode RNRC back in July, I was like oOo this is really dated. The Muppets is timeless. Can’t wait.

I don’t ride RNR probably won’t ride when it’s muppets. The track is so rough and bumpy.
