Monsters replace Muppets replace Aerosmith

And I’m sure the crowd that loved Aerosmith will be delighted with Muppets as a suitable replacement… cause it’s the same audience, right??? lol

The crowd that loves Aerosmith probably can't ride roller coasters at this point. They haven't been relevant for 15 years.

Arguably there are a lot of people in their 20s-40s that grew up with Muppets and will be excited to see them in a coaster.

This is honestly best case scenario (who gives a flying funnel cake about Aerosmith these days). I am also hoping the “creative” solution to preserving Muppet Vision*3D is simply relocating it to the One Man’s Dream theatre or similar.

A lot of people that were supposed to go to their concerts still care....

And yes I would appreciate if they just move the Muppet Vision 3D instead of getting rid of it.

I'm in my late 30's and love Aerosmith and I'm not too old to ride RNRC.
Nor is my 80 year old father...

I love the Muppets but I don't need them to take over RNRC.

The muppets and aerosmith where "created" only 6 years apart there the same age demographic. I would consider both ageless similar to the rolling stones. People may not like them or listen to them but they who they are and that's all that matters.

Aerosmith was always going to be going away. It was only a matter of time. Kinda surprised it is muppets but the ride will still be there and the majority of people go on the attraction for the thrill not the Aerosmith. I always love when I can skip the pre-show. And I like Aerosmith.

The Muppets were created in the 50’s. I’m sure there are some Muppet lovers who can’t ride roller coasters anymore. lol.

I have to believe this is $$$. RNRC definitely needs updating. Taking out Muppets anyway for new land build… already own the rights… let’s put them in RNRC! The demographics for both are the same…. no, wait.. ah, we can sell it and save the $$$. Win-win!

I see it as a net loss of a family friendly attraction… if that doesn’t matter, I also think this adds nothing and only rethemes an already existing attraction that isn’t family friendly. Unless you include rider swap… and good luck explaining to your little one why they can’t ride the Muppets attraction.

When we lost GMR, which definitely was past it’s expiration date, we at least had the consolation that a newer family friendly attraction replaced it.

But good news it’s a cheap fix! Disney owns the intellectual rights to lots of properties… surely there has to be one more consistent with RNRC? Then a new build Muppet friendly attraction. But hey, that’s more $$$.

The Muppets are still releasing popular content to this day.

Only 1 song used on Rock n Roller coaster was released after 1990 and the last Aerosmith “hit” song was Jaded in 2001. Not the type of brand you want on your major attraction in 2024.

Since Disney is determined to remove Areosmith they could have simply removed their theme and substituted something like "Casey Kasem Top 40". Could have kept the RNR name.

In any case, OT but kinda surprised me that when I checked out Muppets on Disney+ it had the same kind of disclaimer that Warner Brothers cartoons has about things made in a different era. Perhaps it depended on the episode.
