I have not seen this show yet and am making a touring plan for my brother, his wife and kids 4 and 6. This will be the only time we are not with them (to hold their hands - they are newbies to WDW) and I don't want to send them to anything that is scary or will turn the boys off to other rides.

The kids see a lot of 3D movies and are not timid. I would love your opinions!

Nothing scary at Monsters Inc (but it would help if they saw the movie first, to know the characters). It's not loud, or scary (unless you think Roz is scary- I think she's a riot!)

There will probably be as many little kids as there are adults, and they often zone in on the little kids, and talk to them (it's a very interactive show).

Our DD was 5 last year and she is afraid of lots of stuff...she was a bit apprehensive going in...but loved it...there is NOTHING scary about this show.

Not even THAT GUY!

Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is an improv comedy show with the Monsters animated on screen. No monster ever comes out into the audience. You can text in jokes and riddles and they do them on screen -- they talk to people in the audience and try to get everyone laughing to fill the "Laugh Meter."

It's very much like Turtle Talk with Crush. Only with the Monsters from Monsters, Inc.

It is perfectly fine for their age and they will love the funny sketches shown on the screen, and you will love how they poke fun at audience members. Another nice spot to cool off during the day and rest a while too :goodvibes

Laugh Floor is actually the opposite of scary! It's aimed directly at the younger crowd. Lots of corny jokes that the little ones will love.

I'm taking my 3 year old. I haven't been, but would think it would be best if the kids were familiar with the movie, Monsters, Inc. I got it for DD so she would know the characters.

Took dd2.5 and dd3.5 last fall and they still talk about it. Not scarry at all, they had a blast!

This will be a great attraction for them to see. When we are in MK we try to do this show at least 2 times. My kids love it DD7 and DD3.

Great - thanks for all your replies. I know they have seen Monsters Inc. and loved it, but I personally think Randall is scary, so I wanted to make sure the show was very kid friendly.

I just have to add that my DD5 was crazy about it too; she still tells some of the jokes that she heard there. Now the Stitch ride, on the other hand...:scared1:

Randall might theoretically scare some small children, but he isn't in the attraction at all, nor is any other scary monster. This attraction doesn't have a "villain" per se. The closest thing to an antagonist in it is Roz.
