Well after debating on going we are headed to Monster's Inc. Disney on Ice. Was wondering if anyone has seen this show and is it any good?? :confused3

I refused to pay top dollar for tickets, so we purchased the mid line seats. Hope it will be a fun time. It should kick up our Disney trip as we do DOI
the week before our WDW trip.

Any comments would be great. Have a magical day :wizard:

Yes, we've seen this and it's great! :) We also had mid line seats and we could see everything. Our daughter loved the show.

We went last yr. My DD was 2.5 and had not seen the movie. I didn't think she would like it but she loved it! It was a really great show. Take lots of pictures :cheer2:

We took my two daughters to see it...Now my oldest swears that Monsters live in her closet and she has to sleep with the closet light on. :sad2:

Otherwise, the show was great. :goodvibes

We saw it last year and DD loved it. We received the cheapest seats you can get as a gift and when we got there moved to a better seat once the show started. It was a great show and DD loved it. We even bought her the blue MI workers cap you seen in the movies. She still wears it today. It's a great show and even DH and I enjoyed it!

We enjoyed it. Even my 2 year old stayed fairly interested---that says alot!!!

I thought it dragged in the middle some, but overall a good show. (If we had a choice, I would choose the 100 years or others, but none of them made it near us this year)

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto and a few others did appear at the beginning and end of the show. I wasn't expecting that---great surprise!

If you've never been to a Disney on Ice show, be prepared for the price of all of the souvenirs---YIKES!!! We spent another $100 on popcorn (came in a souvenir bucket)/drinks/spinning toys. And the sellers circulate the audience before the show and during intermission, so THAT puts a little pressure on you.

Have fun!!!!

We attended "Monkers" (as our two year old calls them) in January and loved it. I was expecting it to be cheesy, but it was pretty neat when they incorporated tunes like "9-5" and "Takin' Care of Business" and the big parade at the end with the confetti cannons was great, too. I was wondering how they would stage such a complicated film for ice but they did a really nice job. A few changes are present but the general jist of the story is there.

This is her favorite movie and we were nervous as to how she would react and she loooooved it! We had mid-line seats and they were great, but our venue was small. Check the location for a map when you get your tickets o you can see where you are sitting.

Also, as a previous poster mentioned, the souvenir area is an assault on your wallet. We got an snow cone in a Boo cup for $10 and they told us it was refillable. I found it difficult to use with just the $2 Mike spoon/straw hybrid. A plain old spoon would have been much more practical. Also, programs were $10 as well as cotton candy with a MI hardhat. Plus all the light-up gizmos and whos-its and whats-its which started around $15-$20, if I remember correctly. T-shirts were outrageous and the dolls even more so. Our venue had photo ops with Mike or Sully puppets/statues. Sully was not very fresh in appearance; it looked like they used an old and worn-out costume. I can't remember the price structure, but I didn't think it was worth forking over the dough to have my daughter's pic taken with a moldy costume. Sully was in dire need of an airing or dusting.

You'll have a great time. Since our daughter loved the show, as we left I was asking my husband about Princesses on Ice and a lady in the crowd overheard us and said that Monsters was much better and that Monsters was 10 times better than Beauty and the Beast.

Hope this helps ya!:sulley: Have fun!

Thanks for all the posts - I am feeling better about my purchase.
I don't know what I'd do with out the DIS boards!
You guys are great! :goodvibes

Yes, we attended the Saturday 3pm show! I really do not think that there was a bad seat in the house. Can't wait to view your pictures!
:thumbsup2

Just viewed your pics and it looks like we were sitting on opposite sides of the rink! I can almost see us in our row!

"It's a small world..lalalalalallalala!"

WDWCrazzy - Thanks for the link to the pictures. I showed my dd and now we are excited about the upcoming show! :goodvibes

Thank you!

Lori, yes it IS a small world!!!

Dsnymouse, ENJOY the show!!! We had a great time and actually got away with NOT buying any treats or trinkets! Thanks for looking at the photos!!!

Great show...I just saw it today with DH and DD's (3 and 1) You'll love it!

Us too!!! :yay:

Did you have the pleasure of sitting in the section (like we did) where a kid blew chunks on the steps? I kept wondering what the smelly smell was; I was covertly trying to check my shoes for dog poo-age! And we don't have a dog!
I finally saw what the smell was when we were walking up the steps to leave. I felt sorry for the kid but I was worried about DD catching whatever it was that made the kid heave. I crossed my fingers and hoped it was too much excitement and too much junk food and not the flu. :scared:

Please excuse my detour in the the land of Slightly Off-Topicopolis! :upsidedow
