is there a monorail that goes directly from a monorail resort to Epcot? We are visiting in June and thinking of having the little girls 4 and 5 go play at a kids club while the grown ups go to epcot in the evening,(much better to start a brief vacation by relaxing...) but since we are staying at CSR can't figure out how to streamline the process... we will have a rental car if necessecary. Advice anyone? :moped: :boat: ;)

You can take the Monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center then hop on the one to Epcot. It will not take long at all.

Hi there,

The Monorail runs from the Polynesian Resort, Grand Floridian and Contemporary Resort to the ticket and transportation center in one big loop. There is a train that runs from the ticket and transportation center that goes round trip to EPCOT.

It would be easy to do this, but where would you park your car?? You would have to find out if you could leave your car at the Polynesian. I know they have a limit on how long you can leave your car there. I guess it wouldn't be a big deal in the evening, plus you would have reservation at the kids club. If you didn't have a car, the only bad thing is you would need to take a bus from the monorail hotel, to downtown disney and then to CSR. This is very time consuming, and the buses from the monorail hotels to downtown disney can sometimes be a long wait. I remember waiting at the Grand Floridan for several hours waiting for the bus once. It didn't come till about 11pm. We were so upset because our kids were very tired. They kept saying the bus was on its way.

any advice on which kids club? Everyone likes Poly... is this best for two little girls? I would ck at booking to see about leaving the car at the hotel if that is how we did it...
another thought is catching bus to have the girls stay at BC kids club and boating to Epcot. Any thoughts on this club or idea? We could drive to Epcot or catch bus back to CSR after boating over to BC to get the girls. Crazy confusing , I Know!

We've used the kid's club at the Poly, and Simba's Cubhouse at the AKL. Both experiences were great. I also hear good things about the club at the Beach Club (is it the Sandcastle Club?)

I'm thinking that, since you have a rental car and want to spend the evening in World Showcase, the simplest plan might be to put the girls in the Beach Club program. You could drive over and park in the Boardwalk area, easily walk to the Beach Club to get the girls settled, then stroll to World Showcase.

That way you've got your own transportation and you'll have more control over your schedule.

If you do use the Sandcastle Club at BC, do not take the boat to/from Epcot (unless you want to take a boat ride:D ). You end up walking just as far, and then add in the time for the boat ride.

From the Neverland Club at the Polynesian it is a very short walk to the TTC and EPCOT monorail...maybe 5 minutes. Even if you can't park at the Polynesian, you could park at the TTC and walk to the Neverland Club or take the very short monorail ride if your kids would like that. But walk back to the TTC to save time. After picking your children up, you could again walk back to the TTC or take the longer spin around on the monorail. Seven Seas Lagoon is very pretty at night from the monorail.
