Where does the monorail run to and from? Can you take it from a hotel to DL?

The monorail runs one-way trips from Tomorrowland Station-Downtown Disney and then Downtown Disney-Tomorrowland. It doesn't really go to hotels, unless you mean the Disneyland Hotel.

does it make a stop at the Disneyland hotel?? we stayed off site this time and we were looking for an easier way to get to the parks and was wondering about the monorail. So if it takes you to tomorrow land station do you get to enter the park there?

It doesn't stop at the DLH directly. It's a little walk. And yes, you do enter at Tomorrowland. They take your ticket when you enter the platform at DTD.

The monorail honestly isn't like practical in terms of transportation. I mean, the one trip I went on it, I could have walked to the station in the time it took me to get on the monorail.

You can walk to the DTD station, from your hotel (it's closest to DLH, I think, depending on what room/tower you might be in), and it let's off in Tomorrowland. And that's it! :)

the response i gave to the exact same question asked just hours before:

the monorail at DLR is an attraction, not a form of transportation. it has 2 stops: tomorrowland and downtown disney. it requires park admission to board at either end and you must disembark at either end.

historically, the DTD stop was for the DLH which led many to believe that the stop was actually moved since DTD came along, which is not quite true. the monorail station didn't move, but the borders of the DLH did. they removed some gardens which evidently made the monorail appear closer to the DLH than it does now. the station is about halfway through DTD.

Ruthie, the DTD stop for the Monorail is about a 2 minute walk to the Dreams Tower (used to be Sierra Tower) at the DLH.

However at the end of a long day, ending with a ride on the monorail isn't so bad for those tired feet. :thumbsup2

In answer to the question can you enter DL through the monorail, the answer is yes. When you board it in Downtown Disney you have to show your park admission.
