What resorts and parks are on the monorail?

Resorts that are on the Monorail are: Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian.

The monorail has a few seperate lines:

Resort Line- Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom, Contemporary, Transoportation and Ticket Center, and Polynesian

Express Monorail- Transoportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom

Monorail to Epcot-Transoportation and Ticket Center to Epcot

So for example, from one of the monorail resorts, how would I get to Epcot?

From the resorts, you would need to get on the resort monorail to the TTC. Then get off and board the Epcot monorail. If you are at the Polynesian, you can also walk to the TTC.

1. Get on Resort Monorail (the only monorail that STOPS at the resorts)
Ride to TTC (Transportation & Ticket Center)

2. Exit
Walk to the Monorail that's overhead signs say "Epcot"

3. Ride to Epcot


All of the monorails have constant voice announcements (spiels) as to "which stop is which" and "how to get where you're going".

You'll be an expert in no-time.

So if I am staying at the WL, I could take the boat to the Contemporary, get the monorail to the TTC, change to the monorail to Epcot. Would that be a really long way to get to Epcot?

And once I'm at Epcot, isn't there a boat that you can take to MGM? Do I have to enter the park to get to the boat to MGM?

If you're at WL, there is a bus straight to Epcot. Yes, you could do what you suggested, but yes it would be time consuming.

The boat to MGM from Epcot is in the International Gateway between the UK and France - yes you'd have to enter Epcot to access the boat to MGM.

But you don't have to enter Epcot to take a BUS from Epcot to MGM (or back).

There are busses to all the theme-parks from in front of all the theme-parks (at MK, the theme-park busses arrive/depart from TTC).

The short answer is...
If you are NOT staying at a monorail resort, the busses are the most direct route to nearly every park.

WL and FtW are the exceptions in that the boats are a good route to MK.

Even if you ARE staying at a monrail resort, the most direct route to anyplace other than MK or Epcot is a bus.
