monorail view

Has anyone ever stayed at a resort in a room with a view of the monorail?

Our son loves the monorail and I'm looking ahead to our 2003 trip.

I'm thinking Polynesian as we've never stayed there.

Have you stayed in such a room? Do you have a picture of the view? Was the room noisy?

Our first visit was at the Polynesian and we have been hooked ever since We have 3 young kids and we went with another family with 3 young kids. We stayed in the Raratonga bldg. I thought it was great because you are right next to the GCH, the laundry and very close to the pool. We had a ground floor room facing the parking lot (if you get ground floor the vegitation will hide most if not all of the parking lot). Our kids loved to watch the monorail go by. It would entertain them while we were getting ready. They even had a guessing game of what color the next one would be I don't remember it being noisy.

We stayed on the third floor of the Aeotorea building at the Poly on the monorail side and my daughter also loved it. She had a paper that she kept track of the colors of monorails she saw all week and how many times she saw each color. There was no noise at all unless you were sitting on the balcony and even then it was a very quiet sound. Never heard anything inside the room.

We too were in Raratonga on the ground floor, on the side facing the monorail. We also had ducks visit us on our patio. The kids loved it!

It looks like we'll be staying in 2003 at the Poly with a monorail view. I appreciate the info on buildings.

Of course, I'm tempted to add at least one night to our December trip b/c our son is crazy about the monorail. Your descriptions have tempted me way too much!

Does anyone else have recommendations?
