Am I remembering correctly if you transfer from the Epcot monorail to the Express monorail at he TTC you just walk across the platform between monorails. Or do you need to go down and up the ramps? thanks

No, it's the other way around. MK Express to Epcot is a cross-platform transfer; Epcot to Express makes you go down the exit ramp and come back up the main queue for the Express.
