Monorail to Epcot after closing

We are staying at the Swan and Dolphin and are dining at CA Grill. We were planning to take the monorail from Epcot to the Contemporary to start, but would we be able to walk thru Epcot on the way back to exit World Showcase and get back to our hotel if Epcot has closed?

I don't think so. I would walk over to the MK Bus Stop or take a cab.

Depends whether Epcot is still open or not and I am assuming you were at the park that day. Your ticket is good until closing time. So if you are back at Epcot before closing, then you would be able to walk to the International Gateway.

This happened to me when staying at the Beach Club. Magic Kingdom was closed so we had to take bus to Downtown Disney and get a bus from there back to Beach Club. It took almost two hours so you may want to take a cab if Magic Kingdom is closed. We asked and were told You can not walk through Epcot once it is closed.

Of course, if MK is still open, or within 1 hour or so after MK closing (including EMH & seasonal events), you could walk from CR to MK and get a bus there.
