Seriously! We've been stuck, but not for that long! I can't imagine how scary that was. And to spend that much time on the monorail! Ugh!

Eek! We were fairly annoyed being stuck over an hour on a bus trying to get to MK from Sports. Traffic was all backed up, with all buses taking a full circle around the MK to avoid the contemporary. But those poor sods had it much worse. I'm glad there were no injuries! Going down the ladder must have been nerve-wracking.

Ever since I read about that happening 2 years ago we haven't taken the monorail into the park

This must be a nightmare for parents trying to keep young children calm while the monorail is stuck for so long. Or for anyone who thought, "I can hold it until we get there."

Can you imagine how hot and smelly it got in there? once the power goes off, so does the a/c! It mustve been a hot mess. and yes, its quite scary imaging going down a latter to exit the monorail. I would die! There's just no way.

Okay, so much for my "ride the monorail just for the fun of it" joyride I was going to try to work in for our trip. We'll stick to the busses. At least if they break down we don't have to climb down a ladder.

The thought of a ladder would scare me you would have thought they could have found a way of pushing them back some how to the dock. Don't really know how it all works but surely x

Same here! My 5 yo daughter totally wants to do this bc last we stayed at the Poly and it was her favorite ride. I think I'll tell her we're riding the monorail at the airport this time and stick to the actual rides at Disney!!

The report I read said only some guests were evacuated and that most were pushed back to the TTC where they exited normally. Then to add insult to injury, you again have to get from the TTC to the MK which is what they were trying to do in the first place!

I've been stuck between MK and CR before on "one last joyride" before leaving for the airport. Freaking out that've was going to miss my flight.....I've actually not been on it since, either. I will go again, just not when I have something very time-critical.

I got stuck in 2001 because of a lighting strike. We were on there for about half an hour, but it wasn't scary or anything. I knew they'd get us off eventually somehow! Luckily, we weren't in a hurry to be somewhere.

For up to an hour, I'd consider being stuck on the monorail and having to climb down ladders as an unexpected bonus. But, after that, the thrill would wear off quickly.
