Monorail resort question

Just to chime in:

If you're staying at the Contemporary, you may as well walk to the Magic Kingdom. It's a 1/2 mile away. It's basically across the street and down the sidewalk.

You'd take more time to get to the monorail and ride it around than just walking over from the hotel. Of course, part of the fun is riding the monorail - I understand that.

Is it really a 1/2 mile. Its such a pleasant walk, I would think that its no more than just a couple blocks. Once we get on the brick side walk, I don't count that part, because you are technically in the MK at the point. :goodvibes

I wouldn't even think the walking distance would be more than 1/4 mile. It's really very easy.

Just wondering how difficult it is to get to the monorail if your room is away from main building at Poly/GF/CR??? We have a 2 and 3 yr old, so I don't want to have to walk to far to get there. We are going in Dec. and want to try Poly, but my thinking is WL might be easier with my kids. Any thoughts?:)
We have stayed at all three monorail resorts when our kids were this young and had no issues with getting from our room to the monorail. CR we often walked and at the GF and PR we took the motor launch a lot too. At the PR buildings closer to the TTC you could even consider walking over to the TTC at certain times of the days and roll the stroller right on the ferry. Their also great choices if you are considering returning to your room for a kids nap.

It's 1/2 mi if you count from right about where the monorail station is inside the Contemporary Resort to where you'd hand someone a ticket. I did the Google Maps path line and made a path along the side walk that you would take to get there.
