Can you ride the monorail from DTD into the park in the morning? :drive: If so, how early is the first trip? I gather you show your ticket to ride the monorail. But where do they do the security check for monorail passengers? :confused3

I can't answer for the time - but the security check is set up outside of the gate for the monorail, before you put in your ticket. When we were there last they had tables set up just like the other security entrance.

So, you walk up - go through security, do your ticket thing through the turnstile and then go up to get on the the monorail.

Hope that helps!

I have to remind you that during high crowding times, only onsite guest visiting disneyland can ride the monorail in. After about an hour, all guest are allowed to ride it. It might apply the same closing time as well.

Im pretty sure the first services start at the same time park opens.

Sometime in 2008 atleast one of the new Mark 7 monorail trains will be launched at DLR with a couple more to come to completely update and revamp the fleet/ The current trains are Mark 5 versions (I think, could be Mark 4 version around too) so the new trains are going to be amazing. The new Mark 7 trains will be the most advanced and latest trains of any of the parks.

The best part is the new Mark 7 trains will bring back the legendary "observation bubble" in the front car so we will be able to once again ride up top just like they used to be back in the 70s and 80s!

EMBRACE THE ARRIVAL OF THE BUBBLE!!

We will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel, so that won't be a problem. What happens with EE? Does the monorail start then or at normal park opening hours?

Monorail starts at same time as EE. But if you're trying to get to Nemo or Peter Pan first, the walkers from the front gate will beat you!

Is there enough room for strollers to be open during the ride on the monorail or do they have to be folded up?

Cen guests staying off-site ride the monorail out of the park to visit the DLH and then back into the park? I haven't been on the monorail since the late 80s!!

Yes. Just make sure that you get your hand stamped for re-entry.

We stayed at the DL resort and honestly it was just much quicker to walk than to wait for the monorail! We only took it once, thinking it would be faster - it was actually slower with wait times, and walked the rest of the times!
