I have a question about the monorail for all of you experienced travelers. Can anyone ride it any day, or do you have to be using your part tickets that day? Can you ride it if you are staying on site? We were wanting to go take a ride on the day we arrive, but weren't sure quiet how it worked.
Thanks!!!

Yes, you can ride the monorail any day. If you are staying on site, you can show them your room key IF THEY ASK. They hardly ever do.

If you are staying offsite, you could bring your park admission and show them if they ask, even if you haven't used it that day.

In all the years we've been going to WDW, we've never been asked to show resort ID's on the monorail. We've been staying on-site since '96.

There may be times you are asked for your resort ID if you are taking the monorail loop that goes to the resort. The loop that runs between the MK and TTC will never require park tickets is it is one of the ways to get over to the MK (that and the ferry).
