Monorail question

One of our days in our upcoming trip is going to be a little "less organized" than the others. Basically, we'll be doing Chef Mickey's at 9:00 a.m. for our son's first character meal. Like a lot of 3 year olds, he's all about trains! We were hoping to ride the monorail after breakfast so that he could have that experience as well. Once all of that was taken care of, we were planning on going over to Animal Kingdom, but weren't sure of the best way. From what I've found, It looks like our best bet may be to take the monorail from the Contemporary to the Polynesian and then bus transportation over to AK. Would that be the best option or are there other means that I'm not aware of?

You can catch an AK bus from any of the resorts or from the MK bus stop. So hop off the monorail anywhere except the TTC.

IMHO, the "funnest" monorail ride is from TTC to Epcot. You get to go top speed (about 43mph) for a nice stretch along World Dr., then through the treetops and finally an aerial circle tour of Future World.

So if you want to make it a real monorail excursion, take the Resort Monorail to TTC, transfer to the Epcot Monorail, and then take the bus from Epcot to AK.
