When I am going to the Magic Kingdom, I HATE being trapped at the Transportation Ticket Center in the morning. I don't like fighting the crowd to scramble to the Magic Kingdom, just to have to wait in another line by the turnstiles.
So... will this work??....
Can I walk to the Polynesian from the TTC and take the resort monorail to the Magic Kingdom? This way, there is only one line to wait in.

Yes, but there will probably be a line for the monorail at the Poly (might have to wait for more than one monorail to get on), the resort monorail stops at the GF before the MK, and it is a bit of a walk to get to the Poly monorail entrance from the TTC. (Faster, it isn't, LOL)!

Might be faster to just stand in the line for the monorail or ferry at the TTC. If you'd rather just be moving instead of standing in the crowd (and aren't all that concerned about speed), your plan will work just fine. JMHO.

It really would not be faster. It is about a ten minute walk from the TTC to Poly and you still may have wait there. Line into park is going to be about the same when you get there regardless of how you get there as it fills up with guests coming not just from TTC but from all resorts.

Plus, you then have to stop at the GF to load and unload. The Express line usually ends up being quicker...

When it's crowded (park opening and closing) the ferry is the way to go.
