I'm currently selling my Monorail playset on eBay, including the monorail, the Polynesian, the Grand Floridian, & the Contemporary. I received a question from a potential bidder on the monorail. I have it listed as the Gold monorail. The buyer asked if the color was gold or a mustard yellow. I did some web research & it seems there is a gold & a yellow monorail. Is there a way for me to tell the difference the two & provide a definitive answer to the question?

Thanks.

Simple..... look at the monorail you have. Is it a metallic gold stripe or a bright yellow stripe?

Is mustard yellow considered bright yellow or more like the Gulden's mustard, which is more gold.

When did you buy it? The gold monorail was only available in 2005-2006 for Disneyland's 50th. And I believe the yellow was out before then.

The earliest year I would have gotten it was 2004. So I'm guessing I do have the gold. Is anyone aware of a site or anything that lists the years that the various colors were released?

saw the auctions on ebay.. these are such great items!!! Do you mind me asking what they cost originally? I never saw them for sale at the park, however I have seen the contemp. for sale... but not the GF or Poly.:thumbsup2

I believe the resorts were originally $40 back when they were available. The other accessories I'm not sure.

Thank you {I'm not sure why I'm taking credit, but oh well :lmao:.} Yeah, I love 'em all too. It's tough to part with them, but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Just hoping there's a good old fashioned bidding war later tonight :lmao:.
