Monorail Noise in the Contemporary?

As a child my ears were very sensitive to noise (Had the most awful earaches). With age this has gone away, however, my youngest son takes after me and will clamp his hands over his ears and cry at parades etc.

I realize that as far as "trains" go, the monorail is extreamly quiet, but I seem to recall the Contemporary's lobby having a loud "white" noise to it when the vehicles would be loading/unloading. Has anyone noticed this or has Disney managed to muffle the noise?

When we stayed at the Contemporary last November, we heard the monorail as it entered and exited the Tower, but only if we were on the 4th floor area. Even then, I'm fairly certain it came and left several times without us noticing it. We never heard it in our room. I would characterize the "noise" as more of a "whooshing" sound with a little whine as it stopped or started. It wasn't that bad and I didn't notice anyone around us holding their ears. For me, Chef Mickey's was MUCH louder/noiser than the monorail.

The monorails are fairly quiet...I think the most substantial noise would be from the people who are coming and going...and the doors and such. But the monorails themselves arn't loud. What does everyone else think?

there is a white noise.

however you won't notice it - we went from the Cont Tower to OKW 1-bedroom - and did notice it.

It also is plain in the viedo I made and the different between the rooms is something....
