Monorail latest?

Last time we checked here, the word was that the Monorail is definitely not going to be running at all in Oct., though 1 person suggested it might make like 1 one-way trip or so a day to keep people happy.

What's the latest you've heard/ seen?

From what we saw I do not think there is any Chance of it being running this month.

It is listed as being closed on the DL site. It was not running at all on Sept 29.

According to Disney's site the Monorail isn't scheduled to be back up and running until the middle of December. But, check back on the site seeing as Disney changes their minds frequently.

In talking to the info CMs the monorail isn't scheduled to be running until December 15th. With the construction going on I don't think they'll be running it even once a day.

The monorails DEFINATELY won't be coming back until December. They aren't even at the park! I just read on MousePlanet that they're being dismanteled and refurbished in Canada and Mexico. So, not only are they not in the park, they're not in the same state, NOR are they even in the same country! Just thought you guys would like to know.

Hi GailT,

The Monorail goes to the west side of Downtown Disney (near the Disneyland Hotel) and Tomorrowland. It is more like an attraction at Disneyland, as opposed to a mode of transportation, like at WDW.

You need park entrance tix to get on the monorail.

the monorails will be done by late november but it will take some time to retrain all the cast mbrs back onto monorail for 2 way so it wont be open till the 15 of december.

Please tell me that it will be running normally (2-way) after Dec. 15th? I had heard it might only be running 1-way for the holidays and then close down again for more construction in January. We'll be there from 12/18 - 12/23 and the kids so want to ride it again all around the park.

All I know is, even if it is running at some point one way, I wouldn't bother taking it unless it's going from DL in to DTD. Trying to get in to DL from DTD was crazy in July with it only running one way. Walking was MUCH faster, we waited one time for 4-5 trains before we could get on, the lines were so long. Your only supposed to be allowed to take it one way (not going in a circle returning where you started from), but some people refused to get off. So when that happened finding a seat was awful. Making the lines at the DTD station even longer. I'll be happy to hear it's fully up and running again for sure!
