Monorail hours

I asked this question on another forum and they directed me here. We're planning on dinner at California Grill next Friday the 15th (PS at 8 pm.) Afterward, we're hoping on getting on the monorail and visiting the connected resorts. Does anyone know how late the monorail runs? Also wondering if the resorts allow you to tour around at this late hour. I've heard on other threads that the walk between the Grand Floridian and Polynesia is beautiful. Is it a worthwhile/safe walk at night or would we be better of taking the monorail. Many thanks.

The Resort Monorail runs from 7:00am until 11:00pm, or two hours after the MK closes, whichever is later.

As for touring the grounds of other resorts... I don't really know. I always thought that it would be... however, one night, I was consoling one of my friends on the beach at the Polynesian (someone close had passed away) and a manager from the Polynesian was walking the area, and came up to us and asked to see our resort IDs. When we were unable to produce them since we weren't staying there, he politly informed us that we could either get a room, or leave. *shrug*

Thanks for the reply. Since MK is closing at 6 that night, it appears I am out of luck. Given your experience, it sounds like we should probably stick to daylight hours to do our resort-hopping.

No... The Resort Monorail runs until 11pm at the earliest... or 2hrs after the MK closes, whichever is later. So, if the MK closes at 6, the resort monorail will still run till 11pm.
