Staying at a monorail resort next week. Have an 8:10 ADR in MK. When does the resort monorail start running? when does the shuttle boat start?

Thank you. :goodvibes

The Resort Monorail opens at 7 a.m.

The boats from Poly & GF to MK don't start until 30 minutes before MK opening.

Thank you. :goodvibes

To verify: Will the resort monorail open at 7am, even if official opening isn't until 9am?? our ADR is before park opening.

I was wondering the same about the monorail. We are staying off site and have a 7:30 am ADR at Chef Mickey then spending the day at MK (non EMH day). Should we go the TTA and catch the monorail at 7 am to the Contemporary, or valet park for the day at the resort and walk to MK after breakfast? How much to valet park?

Do the monorails run that late ? What are the hours for the monorail ? We will be there in the middle of October. If the monorail is not running what is the best way to get back to the Poly ? Thanks Sorry I didnt mean to post this on your post PrincessP ?

The Resort Monorail normally runs until 1 hour after the MK's regular closing. On EMH nights, transportation to the MK resorts is provided by boats and/or buses.

Currently, on MNSSHP nights, the Resort Monorail runs until 1 a.m. If you manage to miss the last monorail, buses always operate until the park clears, and I'm sure a bus ride to the Poly would be provided if necessary.

Monorail hours are always subject to change, and last year, the Resort Monorail closing policy for party nights did change -- more than once,

I was very irritated that on our recent stay, we attended the Spirit of Aloha dinner at the Polynesian, and found that the monorails had closed before we got to them! We were staying at the Contemporary, and when I inquired at the front desk of the Polynesian about how to get back to our hotel, I was told we could either pay for a cab or take a bus all the way to Downtown Disney, and transfer to another bus back to the Contemporary! Ridiculous! After some more complaining she gave me a taxi voucher, but come on! They need to make it so people can get home after the dinner, regardless of the MK park hours that night.

Which they did, by having a bus to take you to Downtown Disney and then another bus to take you to the Contemporary. Why should they continue running buses/boats/monorails after the park they are servicing closes?

Disney transport is based on a hub system. Each park and Downtown Disney operates as a hub, if a hub closes then you have to use another one.

Sorry. Resort to resort transportation isn't always the easiest, especially when later at night. Next time (if there is another trip) you might need to do some transportation research if you don't want to take a taxi.

Perhaps the boat to the MK and then bus to Contemporary might be an option if it wasn't too late?

Perhaps walking to the TTC might offer some other options? But no resort buses? Not sure.
