Is it faster/possible to jump on the monorail at Epcot first thing in the a.m. (i.e. before the park opens) to get over to the MK? I'm trying to avoid the parking lot-tram-TTC logjam at MK - would it be any faster this way or is it just a case of six of one, half dozen of the other?

Thanks!

It's a case of six of one, half dozen of the other.

Epcot is not "on the way to MK" rather it is a sidetrack. Also you will end up going through the toll plaza and taking the tram at the Epcot lot. You do have to wait for the monorail, I think it is every ten minutes.

The monorail from Epcot drops you off in the same place where people who drove to MK arrive at -- the TTC. You then take the MK monorail or the ferry. You do not get to walk across the monorail platform and beat the line everybody else is in.

You don't avoid the log jam as you still have to change monorails at the TTC anyways, so you end up in the same line as everyone who parked at the MK parking lot to take the monorail to MK or the ferry to MK...... If staying onsite, just take a bus straight to MK, if staying offsite, make sure you get there early.... simple enough..

Depends on where you are staying. When we were there, we stayed at CBR. We did try the bus to goto MK and it seemed to take forever. We found it quicker and more convienient to take bus to EPCOT and then monorail to TTC to MK. We timed both ways from CBR. Bus to MK was about 25-30 min due to traffic. Bus to EPCOT 10 min with traffic and about 15 for monorail.
