Monorail from Epcot to MK

I am planning on spending a day at Epcot and a day at MK fairly early on in our holiday. If there is time I would like to spend a further 1/2 day in each. Finishing up at Epcot so we can see the fireworks again. I thought we might drive to Epcot, getting there about 8.30 a.m , park up, and get the monorail to MK in time for park opening. Is this possible, or does the monorail not start that early?

That is possible but you will need to allow longer for the monorail journey. You will get one monorail to the TTC then you can get boat or monorail onto MK.

I would be at Epcot at 8am to be sure on making MK rope drop.
