Monorail Extended???

When we were at WDW last October we sat up front with the Monorial driver and she mentioned that Disney was trying to extend the monorail track to go to more places around the Disney property. Anybody heard anything or seen anything that would indicatie this is true?

Last I heard the idea had ben scrapped. Too costly. But that's a rumor too.
