Hi - We're going to DL in August and I was hoping someone who has been there in July could give an update on the Monorail and Nemo.

Does anyone know the status of the monorail? Is it running as normal now? My husband likes taking the monorail but he hasn't been to DLand for about 4 or 5 years. Is it still on a slower schedule? Is it faster to walk through Downtown Disney (we're staying at the DLH)

Also, are Nemo lines still really long? I was looking through the Ridemax tips and currious if the lines are still really long for that ride. I was hoping that after a year, the lines would have died down a bit.

Is it faster to take the monorail in and get to Nemo since the monorail goes to Fantasyland?

Thanks!
KC

I can't say about the monorail, but lines for Nemo are as insane as ever. My friend got back from DL this week and waited 2 hours for Nemo--and she did Magic Morning, too. @_@ I leave Friday, and I'm not planning on riding it. No siree.

My coworker said the monorial Mark VII is up and running, but I dont know how many monorails they have going at this time. Sorry. Also, monorail drops you off in Tomorrowland, not Fantasyland, but it does drop you off right on top of the Nemo ride, which is also Tomorrowland.

HTH a bit!!

My understanding is that monorail purple is working as normal and monorail VII red is taking guests, however it can only take 15 people per car instead of 25 and has to be taken off line once the outside temperature gets to 80 degrees due to its ventilation problems. I heard that mark VII blue might be on the beam next week, but just to get its testing hours in and not for guests. However this will only happen if purple goes down as they only want 2 monorails on the beam at one time.

Also if you are wanting to get to Nemo 1st thing it is quicker to walk to the entrance and walk to Nemo rather than taking the monorail as the monorail leaves the station as the gates open so the people walking will get to Nemo before the the monorail reaches the station.
