Going to DL Dec 10th-15th and staying for the first time at the DLH. :cool1: We are planning to do DCA on Sun 11th, and DL 12th & 13th, take it easy and do Lilo and Stitch breakfast on 14th and off to SD on the 15th.

We would like to do early entry on Mon & Tues - can you still take the monorail??? Is there any EE to DCA for hotel guests?

Has anyone done the girls makeover "thing" in DTD (not sure what its called)?
Is it suitable for very girlie DD10 and DD4?

thanks, any help is appreciated! :goodvibes

When we were there recently, the monorail gates opened at the same time as the main gates for the general public -- since it's slower getting bags checked and tickets scanned and getting on the monorail, you end up arriving at an already full park, especially on early entry days. I've heard some say that they've beaten people to fantasyland by using the monorail, but I don't think that's on early entry.

I think disney reserves the right to make the early entry park be either DL or DCA, but that it's usually DL and specifically toon town and fantasyland.

I'm not sure how you are going to do early entry on two different days. Maybe there's a way, but you should be aware that EE does not work at DL like it does at WDW. It's not a perk for resort guests, but instead its a perk for those who purchase certain tickets -- primarily 3-day hopper bonus tickets and above. These tickets all have one early entry feature.

Last month when we stayed at the GC, they allowed guests of that hotel to get the jump by a few minutes on the main gate, which essentially meant that early in the morning, GC guests got to be first in line for Soarin. I'm pretty sure that only GC guest are allowed to use that entrance, although it's tough to know how they would enforce that. The asked to see our keys or our bills -- but they weren't looking carefully at them. I would think that DLH guests might have a shot at getting through.

thanks, thought I read somewhere that DLH guests were getting early entry each day but maybe no longer?? Any suggestions which day I should use my EE? We do have the 3 day hopper and it also has toontown morning madness.
thanks! :goodvibes

As a resort guest, you should be able to do EE on both Monday and Tuesday. Resort guests started getting this perk sometime during the summer, although its not well advertised. You need to bring you hotel identification card. (Of course, that's subject to change, you may wish to check upon check-in that EE is still being offered for resort guests. It better be; I'm arriving on 12/16 with my AP and had planned on using EE Sat, Mon & Tue).

You should be able to take the monorail to DL for EE, but it may be quicker to go through the main gate as lark suggested. Sometimes the monorail gates open prior to park opening so that the first monorail takes off at or shortly before the park opening (or EE opening) so that it arrives very close to the time the first guests are let in to the park. Other times, the monorail gates don't open until park opening (or even a little later), so the first monorail doesn't arrive at Tomorrowland until a bit after the park opens.

EE is just for DL. Most of Fantasyland, and parts of Tomorrowland are open for EE. DCA does not have EE, although DCA gates usually open to all guests 30 minutes prior to the scheduled opening, with Soaring open during that 1/2 hour. As with EE at DL, portions of the parks are roped off until the official opening time.

I can't answer the makeover question ...

My "girlie" DD7 did Club Libby Lu with her girl scout troop last year and LOVED it! Reservations go quickly, so try to get in early.

My daughter had her birthday party at Club Libby Lu in Dallas, which is the same as the one in DD. Do it for sure! It is such a blast. We had a wonderful time.

thanks for all the info!! About how long are you in Libby Lu (have to plan the schedule!!)

It took about 45 minutes. Make sure you get the deluxe makeover where they get to make perfume and bath oil and bubble bath. It is so fun. We are doing it again when we go to DL.

ooooh, please more details on Libby Lu!!

It is in DTD?
What is it?
How much does it cost?
What do you get done?

Thanks :flower:

I would love to know more as well. How do we book this? My DD's, esp 10yo would think this is the greatest thing! Where is it in DTD? We were there 2 years ago but don't remember seeing it. Would be a great thing to do while the boys go to the mighty ducks game :goodvibes

I can picture that as well :rotfl: My DD 10 would stroll regally thru the parks doing the princess wave in her Cinderella gown. DD 4 has a difficult time keeping her clothes on or clean and would be running wild with hair flying everywhere!!LOL
This sounds like a lot of fun but I think I will try to book it on our quiet nonpark day. Strange question but could they do something without a lot of hair?? DD4 has an unruly short mop of stuff that we think is hair (suits her personality however!) If big sister gets something done she will want to as well.
I will try to phone tomorrow, thanks for the link!

Well, you learn something new every day. I wish we'd known this a couple of weeks ago! They really don't advertise it at all.

Club Libby Lu is the most fun a little girl can have. With regard to the question about short hair, they have every kind of hairdo imaginable. My daughters hair was pretty short and they did the Rockstar Doo. It was so cute. Not only did they do the hair, but they did the makeup and she got a little star decal on her cheek along with a star choker! Be prepared to fall in love with everything in this store. They have the cutest tennis shoes and also girly lotions and hair accessories. The price was $25 here in Dallas so I am not sure what it is at DTD but it is worth every penny. Oh they did her nails also! Along with the $25 she got to make her own soap, bubble bath, perfume and body glitter. It is great! We will be visiting before our Princess Lunch in March.

just called the Libby Lu in DTD - no reservations until Jan!!!!!!!!! They do take walk-ins so I guess we'll try that! Boy, I thought I would be in plenty of time as hoping to do this Wed Dec 14th. Who knew?????????? I tried for a cancellation list and she said that was huge too.
I think I may try calling again another day and see what happens. Meandthree you better book now!

Glad this subject came up. Just booked for March 11 at 11 and that way she will look beautiful for lunch with the Princesses. I figure we can do early entry at Disneyland and then stop by Club Libby on the way back to the GC and then dress her and be off to lunch. I can't believe I am already making reservations for March.

My last two stays in Disneyland were at the Disneyland Hotel in May And Grand California in September. I used the EE option on Saturdays for both trips. I walked to the monorail when I was staying at GC because I wanted to go directly to Tomorrowland.
