I would think it would depend on how much convention and meeting revenue that the Con. relies on. If they have alot of meetings and conventions at that resort, they will never give it to DVC. Meetings and Convention revenue means alot to a hotel. They would not want to give that up to the swan and dolph. or a downtown resort. If another Disney resort takes care of all the Conventions, then I could see the DVC. Those lake views on those wing rooms are pretty nice. What I have never understood about the Cont. was the southwest decor in the lobby, and the bright "modern" in the rooms.

I doubt we'd buy there, but staying there would be nice.

alot of people even going to the convention won't stay at the Cont - besides the BC/YC/BW not to mention the CSR also have conventions.

If they aren't staying at the Cont they generally stay at the Polyn or the GF - since these hotels cost more - WDW doesn't mind at all - they are all on the monrail - so time wise they are still very close.

THis rumor has been around the block so many times it has shop wear!
Do I think there should be a Monorail DVC? Sure, why not? Would I buy at the Contemporary? Not likely.

I really would like to know (as well as many others) who/what is the source of your information.

Surely you can understand with a rumor as old as this one, its hard to give it much credibility - especially without knowing the source of the information.

After dreaming about this and talking to my husband, his resopnse was why!!! We own at VWL, a quick boat ride and you are at the Monorail! He is right! I guess if we were to do an add on it would be at OKW, would love to have that 11 month window for a Grand Villa!
