The only time we could get Le Cellier was at 11:30 on our Magic Kingdom day....so, does the monorail go from MK to Epcot? Is this going to be more difficult that it is worth? Le Cellier is almost something we can't pass up. Suggestions please......we will be going back to MK after lunch at Le Cellier.

The monorail connects the parks, but it isn't a direct trip. You'll take the monorail from MK to the Ticket & Transportation Center (TTC). There are 2 ways to do this - an express train that goes directly to the TTC or the resort train that will stop at the Contemporary Resort on the way to the TTC - so take the express.

At the TTC, you'll transfer to the Epcot monorail. The ride itself takes 10 minutes.

From there you will enter the Epcot front gate and walk through Future World toward Canada in World Showcase. It's about 3/4s of a mile.

Another option is to take the bus from the MK stop to Yacht Club or Beach Club. This will likely be shared with Swan and Dolphin, but it's easier to not get off at the S/D stop - YC/BC are a wash - the YC is before BC but its a slightly longer walk. The walk from either to Le Cellier is about 1/4 of a mile.

On the way back, just reverse your route. But if you go the bus route through one of the Epcot area resorts, walk over to the Boardwalk and take the bus from there as the walking distance is about the same but you'll be the last stop on the way back to MK.

Just remember you'll need park hoppers for this.

You've gotten the description of how to get between the two parks. I'll answer the other part of your question - is it a good idea? It would be vastly better if you could rearrange your park days so that you were in Epcot on your leCellier day. You are going to have to allow an hour to make the trip from the MK to Epcot, counting the time to leave the MK, wait for the MK monorail to the TTC, switch to the Epcot monorail (add more wait time), the ride to Epcot and then walking through Future World to Canada. That's a lot of time away from your MK schedule.

I would also like to add that if you are to arrive at the Transportation & Ticket Center from the Magic Kingdom and just miss the Epcot Monorail, you will have at least a 5 - 10 minute wait for the next one to arrive. So that would add extra time waisted just getting to Epcot.

Tara had a really good idea to take the bus from MK to YC/BC and then walk to LeCelier.

The YC/BC bus from MK does not stop at the SW/DO, so YC will be first stop and BC will be second. I would suggest getting off at BC, which is must closer to the International Gateway

Keep trying to change your reservation so the day isn't so interrupted, or plan to spend half of the day in Epcot so you're not wasting so much time on transportation. You may get to LeCellier and still have a wait to be seated. If you'll be in Epcot before the reservation, walk up and ask if you might be able to get in that day ........ not likely during free dining, however.

If you are committed to following your plans, I strongly agree with taking the bus to BC and going in the "back entrance" (the International Gateway entrance) to the World Showcase. The restaurant is a few minutes away, as opposed to going to the front entrance and walking 15".

if you get to mk at 9, you will not get much time to do anything before you have to leave. remember it can take more than 20 minutes just to exit a park. i would start my day in epcot. eat my lunch and then go to mk for the rest of the day.
