I just watched a room review yesterday, and they gave the kids monk seal plushes. Had no idea what they were - till today! Thanks for posting!

Heartbreaking, what a lovely animal! Nice to see him/her get a nice nap!

We saw several on Kauai last trip and it was definitely a highlight of the trip!! Good to see that mom getting a nap!

Lol. That’s what I thought.
Besides Oahu, I have only seen them in Kauai. Never on Maui, Lanai, Molokai or Hawai'i island.

That’s not surprising. Their primary source of food is near Kauai and of course Oahu is the closest island. How beautiful to see such an amazing creature in person!
