monirail open?

does the monirail open right when the disneyland park opens? (the one in DTD?) bc we were thinking maybe park in DTD area then take the monirail over so we can be a firstee in line for the subs....... suggestions? this would be on october 17 btw thanks

The monorail goes from such a further distance than walking, that the fact it is moving faster doesnt come close to making up the distance. You wouldn't be first, or even near the front of the line.

We were there last weekend, got 1st in line for the monorail in DTD, and when the park opened, they announced they had to test it and it would be another 20 mins. So you never know....
