moneysupermarket.com

I have looked a few times, not a great search engine. Found when you click thru to the companies you get different class of car or when you add on what you want they are expensive, not lloked for a few months though, they might have got better.
I really like their search engines for flights and hotels so hopefully they have improved car rental search.

Cheers Wayne,

I knew I could rely on you. I read your posts as I view you as being the car guru!

I'm off next month so getting close to booking a car. 6 of us on the trip but we're getting 2 cars with 4 in ours. Looking for something modest so I must admit to liking your site that you champion, usrentacar. Intermediate with Budget and the chance of a free upgrade always looks favourite.

The only stumbling block as you point out is that between the two cars we want the ability to switch drivers between both cars. That means three named drivers between two cars. It looks like if we go for a gold option with usrentacar we tick all the right boxes but I always worry that I might have been able to save a few quid elsewhere!

Thanks once again

Anyone used this website for car hire? Just playing around the other night and I was shocked by how cheap the results were.

Unless I am missing something I can only think that the saving comes as a lot of the results were for off site companies but even the big on site companies came out well.

No problems with the website, its basically just a search engine and you end up booking with a specific supplier, not them.

You have to go to the specific links to make sure you're getting everything you want, correct car group, insurance, additional drivers etc for the all up cost.
A quick check shows I wasn't getting the car I expected on the Hertz site for example.

Update.
Don't get distracted when posting or that wayne will get in first :)

Did you see the code that was posted? "summer06" that gives £5 off
Its a good clear website. I really like airnet, never a problem but they have got a bit pricey, Hertz.co.uk are worth looking at also, although not so good if you want to add drivers and fuel(gold/platinum).

No missed the code "Summer o6".

What will I need to search for to bring the thread up?

If you use Airnet, don't forget to go through Quidco, as you get cashback.

There are other car hire firms on there too.
