Money saving tips and tricks - food and drinks

It looks like this target is very close to Aulani and they do offer drive up service where they bring your order out to your car. It’s REALLY easy.

Target, 4450 Kapolei Pkwy Ste 100, Kapolei, HI 96707

Yes you are on the right track. Also put your order into Target a few hours prior to going. It is very close to Costco.

Instacart is a decent option. Costco sells 20 percent off Instacart gift cards cards and get your fruit.

Bring muesli/oatmeal from home possibly for breakfast.

Saving money on food and drinks is literally a whole lifestyle fr. Likeeeee eating out all the time adds up soooo fast, it’s crazy. I’ve been trying to cook more at home and ngl, it actually saves a ton. Also pro tip, always check for happy hours or local discounts before grabbing takeout, you’d be shocked how much you save fr.

It definitely was with the current exchange rate! We did find that the Aulani quick service meals (e.g. pizza, chicken tenders and chips, etc) were big enough to feed three of us. So, we ate plainly and sparingly for our stay.

You havent said if your DVC, room size length of stay.
So with that,,,biggest ones to give you ask for room in ewa wing high up,,that way you see the luau for free. Get on FB and there is a group on there that daily talks about things they leave behind, freecycle or something like that,,wife did it. Its an island, people dont like taking lots back with them, so things like boogie boards, unopened food, bottle water, some alcohol, lawn umbrellas, etc,,,,lots of things usually left in ice rooms, but some ask you to come to their room if alcohol.
I get the tippiing,,,not a fan of it either,,,we are 10-20 depending on level of service,,,never automatic. If the usa wants to up the pay of their people thats up to them, but not getting into that.
Enjoy your vacation,,,everyone does it different.

Rooms have rice cookers. You can make a ton of different meals with rice cookers. No suggestions on eating out to save money. Its expensive there, its expensive everywhere really.

If you do want to eat out, there's some relatively inexpensive, but very tasty food in Kapolei. You'd have to rent a car or catch a bus or something to get there, though.

(And I know that the OP's trip is over now, but someone else might stumble upon this thread later!)

We alway get grab and go food at a local grocery chain and it's comparable to what we pay at home to eat out. But we eat a special diet so we pay more than average people.

My mom stopped at a chinese place by Target and ordered Gau Gee Mein family style. It was an insane amount of food. Like truly so. much. food.
