We booked our trip several months back when they were giving money back in the forms of gift certificates or coupons not sure what to call them. I was wondering if any one else did that as well and when do you get your certificate , when you check in or did it come with your ressie package ?

Are you talking about the gift card promotion, where you receive a Disney gift card of a certain amount depending on your resort level? If so, you will get the gift card at check-in.

I did the gift card, we are getting a $500 one when we check in, disney cisa sent us a $25 rewards gift card and we are checking in online so I hope we get another gift card from that ,which we can load $100 on it to get more free $$$!

disneydad- can you explain how that works- the online checkin gift card- so if you check in online you might get an additional giftcard at the resort? How much is it worth usually? Then you load how much extra, where and get what? LOL

Yes, you can use it for food, as well as merchandise. Many of the snack cards will even accept it, as well as the restaurants. You can also charge food and purchases to your room and use the gift card to pay off the room charges.
