Mom's Wake was today

My Mom passed away Wednesday morning at 4:15 am. She went into the hospital on 8/23 for stomach pains and was diagnosed with pancreatitis. She declined over the next week with her kidneys shutting down and finally she passed away. My mom was 78 years old. She had emphysema but we never expected her to pass away so suddenly. It has been a very long day and we have the funeral tomorrow. Even though she was a pain in the butt at times, I am going to miss her. Now that my Mom & Dad are both gone, I am an adult orphan.

I'm so very sorry for you & your family. There is no one like Mom. My Mom passed away a little over a year ago & I was a zombie during the funeral home viewings. Let me warn you though, the actual funeral is worse. The pain & feeling of loss is still very fresh for me but my Mom & I were very close & we lived together for all but 3 months out of my 43 years on earth. So I know your pain & I'm so very sorry. Try to be strong & get through tomorrow.
