Hello!! My sister in law and I have birthdays at the end of November. We've been to Disney a couple times as a large group, we have 4 boys (7, 7, 10 and 12) between us, so trips have always been kids centered. Well what started off as a quick 2 day Universal trip has morphed to a 6 day disney/universal trip! We have 2 day PH tickets, 1 night at the xmas after hours and then on to universal. Its a very short planning period compared to the 9-12 months I'm used to lol. So far the plan is: Staying at the Hilton BVP (because points=free). Day 1 AK in the morning and hop to HS, Day 2 Mk in the morning then hop to Epcot. Day 3 Disney springs shopping, eat at Raglan Road and then take the DS bus to Poly and do a quick drink around the monorail before the party. Then on Friday morning uber to the Hilton at the entrance to Universal and hang out there until the evening event we are going to. I did manage to get reservations ar 4 at Hollywood Derby but couldn't really get anything else we wanted at Disney so we'll wing if nothing pops up before then. We'll prob just eat at the carts around Epcot. This will be our 1st trip without any kids or husbands. I'm not sure if I'm more excited about no males being on the trip or where we are going lol. But I am excited to have a trip that isn't focused on what the kids would like or worrying about if they will be cranky/hungry/tired/all of the above.

Anyway. I'm looking for thoughts or suggestions on things to do that I may not have thought of. Any lounges we should check out kid free? Any shirt ideas that scream unchaperoned moms?! lol

You have a solid plan. You will want to decide if you are buying Genie+ or a $ILL ride. I think that depends on how important riding some particular rides are for you.

Given you have two days in the park, I wouldn't book any ADRs those two days. Though, maybe I'd try to get a late ADR at Olga's on your HS day.

Enjoying the carts/snacking around the world at Epcot is always a solid plan for adults.

The only thing I'd warned about is overpacking your day before going to the Christmas party. You will likely want two LONG park days on days 1 and 2 at Disney. Sleep late on day 3. I think DS or a monorail resort run is fine, but watch your time, I'm not sure you really have time for both unless you want it to be a busy day. Don't drink too much or you might find yourself sleepy at the party instead of enjoying it to the max. I would book an ADR for a late TS lunch/early TS dinner this day - before you can enter MK for the party.

Since you have both been there before, I recommend discussing must-do's vs. hope to do's at the parks before going. Frankly, it is easier to get my niece to leave a park before we have done everything than her mother. You can't do everything in half days, so be sure to discuss this before going. Now, I suspect you will both find touring around without all the family in tow will mean you can do more in less time, but its still good to know what each other views as super important to them to help the days go more smoothly.
Have fun!

On our party day we just have a late lunch at raglan road planned and meandering around Disney springs. I say we’ll drink around the monorail but likely we won’t make it past Poly lol. Unfortunately I think kids have robbed us of our ability to sleep past 7 lol. And that’s sleeping in.
