veryone who is a first time Mom is really in for a special treat when they hand you your baby. It really is like nothing I have experienced before. Pure magicprincess:

AWWW - you just made my heart melt! I cannot wait, I've always wanted to be a mom and am so thankful to be blessed wit this pregnancy. . . your words really touched me, thanks!

You got it in the arm too?? LOL I know I can't be the only one to have to have it in the rear-end! And that was no piece of cake-- it burned... burned really bad. And they don't rub your rear end for you to make the burning go away-- lol!

I guess I will let you know next week when I get it!

Anyone stocking up (I'm sorry I'm like a freaky coupon clipper)...

Here is a good deal on diapers

Go to Diapers.com

1) Order 5 jumbo packs of Huggies at $10 each = $50

2) Use promo code CSHE0160 to take $10 off = $40

3) Click on the parenting magazine offer banner in cart, and send in for the rebate instead of the magazine. Take off $15 = $25

4) Submit for Caregivers Rebate on Huggies jumbo packs, take off $3.75 = $21.25

That's $4.25 a pack.

Free shipping, no tax!

You can also use manufacturer coupons, but you have to send them in ahead of time.

Even if you don't do the caregivers rebate, its around $5 for a Jumbo pack of Huggies. Generally these are around $10 or more in the stores.

Definitely do the parenting magazine rebate (if you haven't already) unless you want the magazine subscription.

Hopefully one of these deals come out for pampers - but it is a great deal I hope many can take advantage of it!! (side note: I have VERY sensitive skin and have always been allergic to Huggies, Luvs and some of the off brands - not sure why, mom says I've always been. When I baby sit and use those brands I start to get really itchy and red splotches, not sure what it is, but there is something I am allergic to in those. So I plan on using pampers and doing some cloth diapering at home, I think, I'll get back to you about the cloth ;) ).

I think you can do it for Pampers, I haven't played around with it yet.

Let me know if you try it, though.

Emma Sophie was born 6/30/09 at 3:24pm. 7lbs. 5 oz. and was 20 inches long.

Once we are settled I will try to catch up and post our labor story.
Let me just say all epidurals can wear off quickly.

Thank you all for well wishes...this means now I can lurk here like Patsy :lmao: and post on the new Mom's thread too!!! I know I am going to have a new time not keeping up here. Well wishes to all of you and your little ones!

I got an email for 50 bonus points for pampers rewards. Not sure if there is a link out there or not. Plus for new accounts use pampers5 to save an additional $5.00 off.

Congrats Disney Ron (i'm still a lurker here too :rolleyes1)

Hi everyone! I haven't posted since the beginning of the thread. Well...here goes. Our due date is December 2 and she will be a girl. Her name is Olivia Rose. I knew at the beginning that I was a higher risk pregnancy so I have been taking things really easy. I am currently at 18 weeks pregnant. The last ultrasound showed that I have placenta previa. The placenta is sitting lower than it should be. I had it with my son and it moved up. The doctor is confident that it will happen that way again. I had cancer in my early 20's so that causes a few problems too. But so far I have had no morning sickness and I am past that stage anyway. YAY! The only thing is I get very tired very quickly. Evey little thing makes me exhausted. One of the other moms at school said it was our age. In my early 30's. DS and DD will be 13 years apart so this is definitely a change.

Thanks for the heads up- we use pampers, but I was able to get 2 jumbo boxes for $69.98 which is a good deal! and now I don't have to go to the store!

Congratulations!! (And 'oh no' about the epidural. That doesn't sound fun at all.) Welcome Emma Sophie. We can't wait to hear all about you!

I saw my Dr. today for my first internal. It came as no surprise that I'm not dilated at all and "not even close," but it was still hard to hear. I'm only 36 weeks, so I don't know what I was expecting to hear...but it was a little disappointing.

Welcome Emma Sophie!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

So happy for you Ann! And I can't wait to hear all about her birth. Although you do have me a little freaked already with the epidural part of it :scared1:

I expect to hear the same at my first internal. And even though it's expected I'm sure I'll be disappointed too. I think it's just because we're so close but these last few weeks tend to drag by when we really just want our little ones to be here already. I understand totally! Hopefully at the next appt. you'll have made a little progress :)

Stopping by to say that Target sent me a 10% off all registry stuff that I didn't receive...I thought only BRU did that!!!!

I'm so mad-ish! Had I known that i would have registered for a LOT more stuff at Target, especially since they aren't making me wait until the last 2 weeks like BRU is.

So my coupon saved me....$2.24!! lol I'm not sure it worked right, but we only got a few things...everything else is on the BRU registry.

Ladies, remember that full term isn't until 39 weeks, so we don't really want to be dialated at 36! (It's what I keep telling myself ;))

FOund out today that my friend who is due the same day as me is having problems...her little girl is in breech and the dr was going to go in and turn her, but in prepping they found out she's low on amniotic fluid and the babies weight is low. So she's on bedrest and will probably need a c section. But the baby passed the non stress test with no problem, so that's good.
