Moms that shop at Limited Too, swinsuit return question

I bought DD a swim suit there about a month ago, it's aqua and brown. We live 60 miles from the closest one, so it's not an everyday stop for me. Well, I'm in one in ATL yesterday and mention the suit to the mgr, don't see it. She says, oh, that ones been pulled. We've had complaints of the brown running when it's laundered. SHe tells me to return it for exchange. I came home and laundered it FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS, HAND WASH (USED HANDWASH CYCLE ON MY MACHINE), DRIP DRY (LAID FLAT IN MY MAYTAG DRYING CABINET DRYER). Well, the suit looks fine. No color run, no fading. Will chlorine make it run? As in, will it run the first time she gets in the pool with it? I hate to return it because it's flattering on her and she loves the color combination. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

That's my thought. I mean, maybe the returns were people that don't read the washing instructions and just throw everything in hot water. I can't even find it on the website now. It was very prominent in the Febuary catazine, too funny.

I bought my dd that same suit. Save your receipt. If it does run, you can return it for a refund even after it's been worn. DD had a sweater that she wore once and it got a hole where the pocket was sewn to the sweater, not in a place that she could have caused a hole. I took it back with the receipt and they exchanged it with no problem.

I've returned other things there as well that didn't hold up like I felt they should for the $$ I spent. T-hirts, shorts that shrank to the point my dd couldn't wear them, and I wash everything in cold and dry on medium heat. They are one store that truly wants you to be happy with the items you buy.

The suit has polkadots, tankini style, called floating dots. I think I have the receipt, if not, it says LTD too on the tag. Have you washed yours yet? I used Woolite (actually Delicare brand) and then Downey and had no problems on cold wash/rinse.

My dd bought the bikini style. We haven't washed it yet. Just pulled it out today to pack for spring break. Taking a second suit with us, may pack a third just in case we have an issue with it.

If you have time, I'd recommend running it through on a cold wash delicate and then drip dry, just to be sure. My DH had a set of trunks from Lands End that we thought were fine, I let them drip dry in the hotel room and they ran all over the towels I put in the flor to catch the drips. I used Delicare/Woolite to wash and a gentle cold wash/rinse.
