Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I've been so busy and have hardly been at home all summer. Anyway I thought you might be interested that Disney are taking applications to join the Moms Panel in 2010 starting on the 10th September.

Visit www.disneyworldmoms.com/2010 for details.

It would be great for another UK DISer to make the panel :goodvibes

Just incase, this is what it says -

Walt Disney World® Moms Panel: What's It All About?

Let's face it: With more than 20 Resort hotels, four Theme Parks, two Water Parks, shopping, dining, entertainment and more, Walt Disney World® Resort can leave some visitors feeling a bit overwhelmed.

That's why we've created the Walt Disney World Moms Panel, an online forum of vacation advisors made up of everyday people who will answer questions, offer advice and address specific concerns of families in the process of planning a trip to Walt Disney World® Resort.

And that's where you come in.

Whether it's when to visit Walt Disney World® Resort or what Resort to stay at or what to see once you get here, we know you make most of the vacation decisions for your family. You do it all and stay on top of your family's daily "to do's" to boot! We'll soon be recruiting for the 2010 Walt Disney World Moms Panel. If you would like to be considered for this special online opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.

We will begin accepting applications after 9:00 am Eastern Daylight Time on September 10, 2009.

Participants must:
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Have access to a computer and an Internet connection.
• Be familiar with Walt Disney World® Resort and have visited at least once in the last 12 months.
• Be fluent in the English language.
• Complete at least fifteen written responses per week.
• Provide your opinions and feedback.
• Submit an autobiography and personal photo to be posted online.
• Be available to travel to Walt Disney World® Resort from December 4-8, 2009.
• Be willing to participate for a minimum of 12 months.

In addition, participants must not be employees, contractors, advisors or consultants for, must not hold more than a de minimis ownership interest in, and must not serve on the Board of Directors of, any entity (other than The Walt Disney Company or any of its subsidiaries) which owns or operates any hotel, resort or theme park located in Orange, Osceola, Lake or Seminole Counties, Florida.
• Not be currently employed in the travel or theme park industries, and not be an immediately family member of, or currently reside with, people currently employed in the travel or theme park industries.

Who's going to try for it this year then???

Jo, are you allowed to do it again? Have you enjoyed it? What is your take on the whole experience?

I don't know what next year holds yet but I don't need to reapply! The last year has been a bit like a rollercoaster, I honestly never thought I'd get chosen as they had no Brit's on the panel, I only applied to get the free goodie bag they gave out to the 2008 applicants :rotfl2:

The training trip was absolutely fantastic, TR in my siggie if you're interested, especially as I got to spend the night in Cinderella's Castle Suite. The other panellists are fantastic, we chat every day and lots of them have met up several times. I can't wait to meet them all in WDW in 5 weeks time where we're all doing the EE5K. I love answering the questions and have answered over 800 questions already, way more than I'm meant to do that's why I'm not on here as much :rotfl2:

I have my reward trip booked and thanks to being on the panel I'm finally getting to stay at the GF again which is fantastic and we often get gifts sent in the post which is very cool!

I would encourage everyone to apply, but it is more "work" than I originally thought, I probably spend at least 10 hours a week answering questions!

If you do apply write from the heart and be yourself, also be sure there are no typos or grammatical errors in your answers :thumbsup2
