We're getting ready to move, and going through some things we found our Disney box, you know the silly things you save from a vacation. Well in it, my daughter found 25th anniversay napkins from Disney. Has anyone else saved things like this? She was dying of embarrasment because her friend was over. I sat there thinking of my Disney memories. Also we found the poster they gave out that year. I think it's time for a frame.

LOL, I have saved some silly stuff once or twice. ;)

I think we had the turkey legs that day.;) Just kidding. No they weren't used.

Oh yea!! We have napkins, straws and confetti from the parade (we got lucky and were on Main Street for the big parade with all the dignitaries). I think we have napkins and confetti from every trip with the kids (4 in total).

I have a plastic cups from the 1982 Worlds Fair in Knoxville..

I have my receipt from where I bought my Mouse Ears in 1984. I can't find my ears, but I've got the receipt.

Yes, I'm a napkin saver too!! :teeth:
From restaurants, if the name is printed on them, from Disney, from weddings, etc.

My grandma used to save placemats from restaurants, and sugar packets. :)

You crack me up! Had me laughing out loud here at work!

I wasn't going to mention the receipts I saved, but yup have them too. In 1997 it cost 4 of us $1,238 to stay at Dixie Landings for 7 nights with passes. Wouldn't that be nice today.

I have one of those, too!

I can totally relate to saving napkins and other reminders, although nothing used, Jason!

My uncle has matches from every place he has been and he doesn't smoke. That's an odd collection. I have cousins who have done beer cans/bottles too. It is certainly a conversation piece. Other than that, a dust collector worth nothing more than proof of "been there done that" if they can even remember them all.:)

My mom saved her father's ashes in a shoebox in her closet. When she was moving, I found the box and opened it. As I was asking her why she kept a box of sand in her closet, I was sifting it through my fingers. When she told me it was her father, I had to run to the bathroom to wash the remains of my grandfather off of my hands! :crazy2:

This is also the same woman who will dig through the trash can to retrieve broken pencils and crayons from my sister because "they can still be used".

While I'm thinking about it, this is ALSO the same woman who NEVER throws anything away. When I first moved out, she brought over some Kraft Macaroni and Cheese for me to eat. When I opened it up, the powdered cheese was BLACK because it was so old. I called and asked her just how long did she have those sitting there, and she made some remark about 7 or 8 years.

Oh, I have many, many stories like that one. Wait until the day I tell you all about the used underwear as a gift, or the Scary Santa Candle with No Eyes. Or the Wormy Pork. Mmm! Good eatin'!

I save everything. I have the idea that I'm going to put the stuff in my scrapbook with the pictures I've taken of the trip, banquet, party, whatever event we were at. I usually use some of it in my scrapbook but then I have a hard time making myself throw away the stuff I didn't use.

Speaking of saving stuff. My parents always save birthday candles and reuse them. It's kind of a running gag that's developed over the years - it does get pretty funny. My dad also likes to tell us not to throw out the holiday paper napkins - we could use them again next year.

LOL! When I was there in 2000 I DEFINATELY saved napkins. I saved our proposed trip budget, our napkin holders from the Polyneisian's character breakfast, I saved EVERYTHING!! I went with my friends and their big joke was that people better hide their small children from me or else I'd take them home for my scrapbook. :rotfl:
