Ok I have no idea if this is the right place to ask this or not. We are planning on going to Disney in January with my family (DH, me, dd3 and ds1.9) and my mom and dad. We are booking separate rooms at the poly. My mom has severely limited vision and no night vision. We want our rooms to be close to each other and my mom prefers a ground floor (we do too but for different reasons) because stairs seem to take her forever and are a hazard and she has a hard time reading the buttons on an elevator.

Question: for her to be on a ground floor room is this considered a medical request or a preference? Also how could we make it so that we are as close as possible to her room?

take a peek at post #7 in Sue's sticky topic" http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=10889442&postcount=7 There is a number listed to call and talk to someone at special reservations
There's no reason to think that it won't be honored. It seems fairly reasonable. You don't need a special room just a different location. :)

Thank you! My mom likes her Independence and we try to allow her as much as possible. She is just so excited to spend a week with her grand kids at Disney :)
