What shoes do you wear to Disney?

With all the miles walked, etc. what shoes do you like?

I wear Birkenstocks. Very well broken in ones that I've worn for at least a year so that the foot bed is shaped just for me.

I wore Old Navy flip flops ;) That said, I'm a barefoot/flip flops kind of gal. I run in barefoot shoes and when it is summer and I am not running I really am barefoot or in flip flops so I'm well used to them. I say wear what you are comfortable in, but shoes would have bothered me because I liked playing with the kids in the water areas and of course the water rides, ect

Just wear shoes you're already comfortable walking in. Honestly, it's just walking. You won't be on hot coals or on the surface of the moon. It's just walking..

I just wear my favorite flip flops and sandals. Doesn't bother me at all. However, I'm a nurse and spend most of my life on my feet, so the walking is not a big deal to me, my feet are accustomed to it. I'm not a fan of athletic shoes unless I'm working out or working, so I avoid them at all costs during vacations.

Keens. The whole family. Keens. :goodvibes

My kids never complained once about their feet. They had Keen sandals like these and I swear I will buy myself some before our next trip to WDW.

I completely wore out a pair of flip flops within 5 days at WDW. I had worn those flip flops at a local theme park multiple times and thought they'd be fine but all the walking (and maybe hot pavement) at WDW flattened them. I got the Disney rash and my legs & feet were killing me by the end of our trip. I ended up wearing the old crocs I had brought for DH to wear to the pool. That helped a lot. A lot of people don't like Crocs but I have the Malindi style and I really like them. Crocs.com has a lot of sales.

Wear what's comfortable to you, but alternate your shoes each day. I wear running shoes one day and I have two different types of Clarke sandals. As long as I don't wear the same shoes two days in a row, my feet feel great! :cool1:

Yup, those are the Keens we live in during our trips. Never a complaint from anyone. :goodvibes

For the last 15 years or so, I have worn Easy Spirit lace sneakers with sport (walking) socks and I have never had any problems with my feet. I need support, and need moisture wicking socks. Wouldn't last no time in flip flops, or even most sandals. My feet 'love' me and keep me going all day!!

I wore my running shoes and was so happy that I did, even if it looked funny with my skirts. Comfort rules at Disney, not fashion.

I could not believe some of the footwear I saw some people wearing; my feet ached just imagining how it must feel.

Gowalks! Love them. Wore them last August for 12 days in a row and never got a blister.

I had one awesome pair of Tevas that lasted me, I kid you not, almost 20 years. The same pair. Then I got another one and it lasted me... maybe two months. The second pair was leather, and when it got wet, the straps stretched. So disappointing. My kids love their Keens and I want to try a pair too now! Flip flops are good 99% of the time, but a few times other people stepped on them and they went flying. I still wear those most of the time for our more casual days, but not if it's really crowded and/or I *know* we'll be doing a lot of commando touring.

Keep in mind that if you go on any water rides (or get caught in a rainstorm) if you're wearing sneakers they might get soaked through. My DH lives in sneakers in real life but only wears water shoe types of things to Disney, because he hates soggy feet.

I alternated between my Keens and Tevas while at disney. Was nice because it rained a lot so I didn't have to worry about socks (this was in Sept). Rotating also helped so my feet wouldn't get too tired from the same shoe.

Keens if it's warm enough to wear sandals. Ecco leather walking shoes otherwise,
